If true, he’s no future captain.

Phillips was a joke signing and so was Grealish.

Does anyone , and I mean anyone , get excited when Grealish gets the ball and heads into the penalty area ?
99.9% of the time he just hits it against a defender...........absolute fucking little to no skill to get past a defender to shoot on goal.

Why the fuck we didn't spend 100 million on a left back , Ill never know.!!

With good justification

He hasn’t done anything yet to convince we haven’t bought a dud.

A little Christmas cheer in the direction of Jack and Kalvin would not go amiss to balance the most unseasonal criticism on here. Both played well in their appearances for City before the break. Same goes for Ruben - was the World Cup after all.

crikey JC . Thought Grealish had found a bit of form but Phillips? Been a sick note since his arrival. You would have thought going away and training with england would have gotten him up to speed but he has come back unfit - if thats true, he is taking the piss. He should have played last night but we had to rely on Rodders

How good was Rico Lewis last night. He plays that inverted full back role superbly. Always happy to receive the ball, even when there's no space. Got clattered a couple of times and it didn't phase him and the covering tackle on Salah was fantastic.

Palmer is a very skilful player - he has a style about him that I have not seen in any other player .

* we won’t talk about his shocking attempt in the penalty area *

Hopefully Haaland will have a session with him on training on hitting the ball on target

Funny how we all see things differently. I have always rated this kid. The fact that we have him involved tells you that we think he is a first team player. Does not have a lot of pace but he is a tricky fucker long may he continue. Iwill ignore that first half miss seeing as we won.....

He's not really that much of a kid any more. He's 21 before the end of this season.
He's skillful but flatters to deceive a lot. In that position you have to track back, win the ball back but I don't think I've ever seen him make a tackle. I certainly wasn't Sterling's biggest fan but he won the ball back loads as does Grealish.

Rico Lewis looks great

This is exactly what pep should have been doing more - bringing a kid through where we have an aging starter.

If we did it with lavia, we wouldn't end up with Mr " I love leeds" dud

Important to stress Pep was clear that Phillips was unfit not injured.

Thought Phillips got himself fit over in Qatar? Originally when we bought him on the back of good England performances i thought he would be a new De Jong and replace Fernandinho but he's proved to be quite frail. Pep sounds miffed with his status but saying someone is not fit to train is either another injury or a mental thing. He didn't play in Qatar much so perhaps he shouldn't have gone.

If not injured it’s weird he wasn’t on the bench. You can only get match for playing matches.
