We needed Cancelo on 2nd half for me. When Grealish, Mahrez, Silva are all going backwards- KDB having a mare- Cancelo is about the only one left to create something out of nothing

Neither Cancelo or Gomez are remotely the answer to the problem. Cancelo is a train wreck of a defender, Gomez is not at PL level, not even close.

I'd ask why Walker didn't play. Best RB in the game...Rico looks a real prospect but Walker should be playing, no question. Pep had 5 subs available and chose to use 3 on 83 minutes, which is scandalously poor.

I don't know what the answer is, wouldn't claim that, but this side is not title-winming as it stands, 100%. When we get attacked, which isn't often, we concede. You can almost see it coming...this is no basis to go on and win stuff.

Cancelo is the answer in that situation because he has loads of assists and creates loads. Walker is a great right back but not in that scenario

I’d argue first half Rico was our best player. He wasn’t the problem today.

Wow. Daily Mail playing games. A full story of -

Should Erling Haaland have been sent off for this LUNGE? Manchester City star escapes with yellow against Everton after launching himself into Ukrainian Vitalii Mykolenko with both feet off the ground

He didn’t touch the guy. Both feet weren’t off the floor. Fuckin embarrassing.

We were dreadful before Lillo arrived.
We were great while Lillo was here.
We are dreadful since Lillo left.

This is our biggest problem (plus we need a genuine pacy winger plus a proper LB).

That’s not true at all mate. Not near to being the truth.

We won the domestic treble without him. We got 100 points in a season without him.

Not convinced by the Lillo theory, but he seemed to be good for us.

Pacey winger to replace Mahrez, no doubt. Pep had England's best talent on the bench but chose the one dimensional option in Grealish, trying Phil in the 83rd minute. Appalling, quite frankly. A proper left back is slightly massively a huge requirement and has been for, what, 8 years? More? Crazy.

Why worry about a left back ? the Everton equaliser came from the right .

My issue is Ederson, to be honest.
That goal was great, I get he is pivotal in our style, but look how Curtois helped Madrid win it last year.
When did Ederson won us a game?

I have the feeling he did not progress at all after his first season here.
Sure, the constant defense rotation does not work, but feels like a pattern with him.

Every time KDB touched the ball today he gave it away. Not once or twice but every fucking time, now Pep needs to recognise when this happens, and it’s not the first time. Take him off and put Gundo or Phil on. Simples, it’s infuriating

This all season long, said about KDB in the first 10 minutes today, he, Pep and the rest of team need to recognise it if we can!!

He'd been on it in those first two games back but clearly not at it this aftie

I don't like to dis Pep but, it was clear as day....

Peps getting a bit of flak on talk sport .As some fan said , “it’s peps way or no way “ .

Walker cancelo and Foden should have Started this game , or at least come on early on the second half when it became obvious to everyone, but Baldie ,that we were getting nowhere with the team he put out .

He’s so fucking arrogant and stubborn that he will never change - we just have to suck it up.

I with you mate on this one.
There were a few close ups yesterday on Pep and Borell, then Maresca, they were saying something and he completely ignored them.
I wonder if Domènec Torrent will come back at some point here? They worked together at Barcelona when Pep first started and he was here also.

The point is he needs an assistant he listens too, not someone he ignores.

Fern is missing also.

Lillo’s managing in Qatar, not a major league. If he was this miracle worker then he’d be managing or coaching at a top club.

We won the domestic treble before him. We got 100 points before him.

He himself didn’t make a huge difference. The difference was having a consistent defence (Stones and Dias). That helped us massively.

Pep needs someone else to challenge his decision making. I know he has the overall say but yesterday he needed someone to tell him to make the wins earlier. His stubbornness makes us draw (feels like a loss) games like this.

Pep's getting stick on the pillar of football discussion that is.... Talksport.

He's a stubborn cunt.

He's never going to change.

He is useless at subs.

This is like a mirror of every match thread for the last 6 years or so.

Yet he's the one who doesn't learn from his mistakes?

Irony

He’s a stubborn cunt and most fans on here agree
He’s never going to change and has said those very same words himself .
He is absolutely SHIT at making subs at the right time .

The above has a lot of substance to it and most on here would agree —- I’m afraid your in a very small , if any , club of people who disagree.
