God forbid if we lose, the meltdown will be epic. Feuds will run for weeks in this thread.

Must- win game for me. Keep the pressure on after the Everton game. I believe Pep's team selection for Everton game was made with tonights game in mind so no fucking excuses if we don't show up

Bad if we are at the stage where playing mahrez and grealish means dropped points though

Agree. You would think that the team that was picked for Everton was good enough though? We can argue about Pep not making changes to affect the game but he is looking further ahead imo - despite what he says in public
I expect us to go full strength tonight - that would include Alvaez but only if he is back and training. It may be that we see him in the two cup games

Hope so mate, think we all agree on the best front players. Defence is subjective as rico vs walker is a tough one

No doubt about it, this a big one.

Last season it was the catalyst for our title winning run and hopefully same again.

Come on City!!

Judging by Peps remarks yesterday Walker and Laporte close to a return but not clear whether either will start.

We had two performances that made were off the charts in the past here: last season and 2017 (?) with Kevin scoring a great goal. Plus the 3-1 in 2021.
I think a win today will light up our season.

Paul Tierney on the whistle tonight.

He was in charge when we beat Forest 6-0 in August.

He also sent Nunez off so can't be all that bad. Seems to average 3 yellows a game.

They are ridiculous aren't they, it's a wonder how somebody with so much strength and weight in his lower legs he ends up on his arse so much.

PL destination defining, run of games coming up, imo.

5 of City's next 7 games are against the top seven teams.
4 of those 5 games are Away - Che, MU, Tot, Ars with one game at Home Vs. Tot.
After that run there are 15 games left with 4 of those against teams from the top 7, all 4 games are at Home: New, Liv, Ars, Che.
Ars, MU and Tot have tricky fixtures coming up as well.

So lots of 6 pointers coming up for City, Ars, MU and Tot. All to play for.
I think we will know how realistic our PL title aspirations are after the match Vs. Ars on 15 Feb.

To hard to call at the moment. The only certainty is that we need to up our game considerably. Starting tonight.
