i'll come back to this post match

here we go .

I get the feeling many posters don't or rarely play football.

We needed to grind out a win , not knowing how chelsea might come at us .

For Pep to pull two of our senior players - for what ever reasons, For a school kid and a player that has only been at the champions for 5 months . Tells you what big balls he has .

Big statement made tonight at half time.
Wasn't surprised about cancelo, he looks shot of confidence. Walker coming off did catch me out though. I'll never talk shit about Pep, despite the occasional brain fart he is the greatest manager we've ever had and time and time again he shows it, those changes at half time showed it. We were stagnant, too much walking around, focus on retention with no penetration. Lewis comes on and he starts drifting between the lines constantly looking for the ball like a young hungry lion, he changed everything providing an outlet, a proper link between attack and defence. David Silva esque dare I say.

Should hopefully be a demonstrative kick up the arse for some of our senior players, look what this young boy has done, if he can do it why can't you?

Mega pleased with that second half response. Well done city, well done pep.

And finally well done on stones getting motm. Pure fucking rolls Royce that boy.
i guess you play football.
Haven't kicked a ball for 20 years since fucking up my knee but I'll take that xxx
good on ya . back in training next week . It's Spring here already.

Coachella is wank which worries me for our scouting unless he was another fake interest

Why do we go for bum left backs now we have a CB there

Cancelo is really at risk of falling off a cliff from "best full back in 5he world" which some bizarre people stated, as he can't even play in midfield.

Wish we had a bum team Sunday to try Wilson esbrand (who looked ahead of Rico last year)

Yes it's great to get the 3 points. But we were hanging on and it easily could have been just 1 point.
I am concerned about our overall form, we lack something.
Hopefully we can kick on and improve.

True, not played well since October/ November - going into the Derby the out of form team, which worries me for peps selection as we normally don't mess about at the swamp.

A fantastic 3 points at Chelsea in a very tactical game.Great work from J.Grealish to set up R.Mahrez for the winner.Turned the commentary off embarrassing.

Shocking in the front 3rd for most of the first half, I was shocked it wasn’t Foden being pulled at the break.

Having said that we dominated the ball all game and pep made early changes to get the win. Am I dreaming!? Love the man, but that’s his one weakness sorted for a change.

Rico is getting me on the bandwagon now.

Grealish, proper pleased for him.

Finally kdb has these games where his radar is off and then normally murders someone shortly after. Unleash that for the derby please.
Tracking back is overrated.

What's wrong with foden? Has safegate follow3d by pep keeping him out messed his flow? Like others say foden usually gets more chances to play back into form vs mahrez and grealish

Hope alvarez isn't stifled like he was early on when he was on fire

Starr him Sunday he's fresh from the confidence of winning the world cup

I think we just have to realise that we can’t win every game, neither can the arse or the barcodes or united or Liverpool or Tottenham blah blah blah. The title is in our hands and as long as that situation prevails I could not give a shit about anything. Now, under normal circumstances as long as we wing the league title I care not what happens elsewhere, but I’ve come to the conclusion that we have to win the CL, and I have a sneaky suspicion it might be this season. That being so , as long as we can shut up the pundits who scream “yeah, you’re great but you ain’t won the CL” that will be good enough for me. Frankly I think we’re good enough to win more than that. Tonight was massive, of that there is no doubt.

The opening paragraph from Henry Winter's match report in the Times:

Pep Guardiola enjoys the rich resources to be able to change games but the real measure of his brilliance as a manager is his decisiveness, making changes of personnel early, and his intelligence, making the right tactical tweaks.

Just to mention, thought the ref was invisible last night; had a great game.

Some said it could be 10 points, now 5.

Pep said in his press conference that he thought back to after the Everton game when Jamie Jackson asked why he waited until the 87th minute for his subs and that's why he acted so decisively last night.

I knew he couldn't have done it because of reading this board or he'd never have put Grealish and Mahrez on

He was shite. Not as terrible as foden but the difference seems to be that we've become over reliant on kdb to feed haaland so when he's shite or marked out if it, we're almost down two players.

An in form foden takes some of the heat off kdb so I'm more concerned about getting him back firing.
