We have played well since after the World Cup. Leeds away, Liverpool at home and for long periods of the second half last night. We played badly against Everton.

Original Dub wrote:He was shite. Not as terrible as foden but the difference seems to be that we've become over reliant on kdb to feed haaland so when he's shite or marked out if it, we're almost down two players.

An in form foden takes some of the heat off kdb so I'm more concerned about getting him back firing.

Cheers.
From what I've seen, I think he lost the ball and they hit the post on the break.
He gives the ball away a lot when he is playing poor + his corners are beyond awful. But what can you do?

Kevin plays within fine margins. He’s always aiming for incisive passes and sometimes he gets it wrong more than usual. Even in the Everton he played in Haaland for a difficult chance and created the chance which Stones headed against the post.

Since time immemorial it’s been man of the match.

Makes my piss boil shit like this

The women's game is ruining the man's game in their efforts to gain parity. From the top down in media, club and administrations they're all pushing an inferior product and suggrsting its just as good. Well it isn't and never will be but in the meantime the women's side of football will continue to infest and change the men's game. Football punditry a classic example. Rugby Union going the same way, it's a fucking joke. Rugby League seems to be doing a little better. Nothing against women's sports but mixing certain sports just ruins things

Yep, and last night he was poor 1st half and a lot better 2nd half. He was involved in the goal and always looking to create which is a lot more than Foden and Silva who went backwards constantly

This may be controversial, but does having an out and out striker affect the overall effectiveness of the team? Given that said striker does not see much of the ball this almost leaves us with one less attacking midfielder, just saying

Worked okay against the Rags. I think the media are desperate for Haaland to move from City that they’ll bring this up every time he doesn’t score in a game.

If KDB, Foden and the other player to the left of Haaland are having poor games we’ll struggle. It’s okay if one of them is off it but the other two are playing well. It’s when both KDB and Foden are struggling that Haaland will also struggle to get service.

Agree with both of these. We smashed fuck out of the red shit when everyone was on it. Haaland wants the ball early and that is so much not what we have been used to with our false 9. We are still adapting but when the service dries up Haaland is and will be anonymous.

Saw an interesting stat which isn't verified, but that in the 3 yrs before van Nistelrooy signed for the rags, they won the PL 3 times on the spin. In the 5 yrs he was there they won it once with him scoring loads of goals. Then after they sold him they won 3 on the spin again

Different times and team and players obviously but the point stands. A goalscorer doesn't always win titles. Shearer won one

How many times did Andy Cole win it for them?

Saw that too Notts, and I thought it was bollocks straight away. Cole, Yorke, Sheringham, Ole…United played with a striker before RvN and they were fine.

It wasn’t that United suddenly went from a false 9 to a striker, it was because Arsenal were class and did the double in 2001/02. They then had the Invincible season 2003/04. And then there was the emergence of Chelsea the season after.

You look at the Rags points tallies and they were finishing 2nd and 3rd with roughly the same amount of points they’d won the league with a few years before. They just had zero competition those years and when they did have competition they just went and bought the best players from said competition.

KDB probably gives the ball away more than any other player in our squad but he’s one of the very few players in world football that can pick out a pass that wins us the game .

We just have to suck it up and accept it .
