If he can stay fit he could be a strong addition to the squad going forward. Laporte back as good as ever. Mahrez getting back to his best, good 90 minutes for Alvarez. Only negative is Palmer who just seems to constantly lack an end product.

Wouldn't be too hard on Palmer, still young, inexperienced at this level and probably playing out of position.

Agree with all that. Disappointed with Palmer but he’s still young enough to come good.

Doesn't look strong enough at the moment. It's a huge step.up for him.

Doubt he's going to get too much stronger, he's 21 before the end of the season.

He maybe needs to use what he has got a little bit better. A few coaching sessions with Dave Silva, a lad who wasn't a physical colossus but could look after himself, might help. Also he appears to lack confidence at times. A goal or an assist or two would sort that out. I was thinking he might have taken the penalty near the end.

A very satisfying performance in this game by everyone, including Cole Palmer.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

One disappointment for me was that our academy producing three first team graduates in Foden, Palmer and Lewis, was ignored in commentary and match analysis. It it were MU or Liverpool it would have been highlighted.

The other standout for me, in an excellent performance, was today's performance highlighted that Haaland's integration and required adjustment to our playing style, is still a work in progress. It is going to be awesome when the kinks are ironed out. I would be interested to know what other posters think on this?

Sometimes he looks shocking, but if he can keep scoring who cares?

Very far from being convinced myself.
