Where’s he off to? One of the only ones that tells the truth consistently.

He's not said where he's going but he did say Southgate remains the best man for the job so maybe it's time for him to have a rest.

Sounds like he needs a holiday. Any room in Grealish’s handbag?

this bit from his final column was ...interesting
Hurrying away from Lusail Stadium after Argentina’s win over Croatia, I bumped into Ruud Gullit. He had a big smile. ‘What do you think of the tournament, eh, Martin?’ he asked. I remembered that on the way home from Moscow in 2018, we’d had a lively discussion about Qatar. It’s fair to say he was an advocate, and I wasn’t.

So I said what I thought. That the football had been great. But then tournament football usually is. I hadn’t changed my mind on the location. It was a largely efficient World Cup also, but it came at too high a price.

He seemed disappointed. ‘You guys, you’re always moaning, you never learn,’ he said. ‘That’s why you end up with a referee from South America.’

And he meant it as a joke, but really? That’s the deal? England get Wilton Sampaio because its media reports on migrant worker deaths. I can’t believe that, not even of FIFA — but if it’s even a quarter true, it’s worse than we thought.

There will be an element of truth in that without doubt

Oh and by the way.

A very sad in broadcasting with this being Samuel's last article. Hopefully he will return to his typewriter soon.

By far and away the best and most balanced journalist out there.

I think he put the “I can’t believe that” just to cover himself, but in reality he knows the score.

Klopp has set the agenda, the first chance for Haaland was offside (according to him) and not given, that affected the whole match as it gave City momentum  also Bobby got injured late in the day and that affected things to..... :D

What an ungracious loser. Only consolation was that Klopp looked angry and really out of sorts, did not see his teeth gleaming even once.

Would love to know what the Irish dippers had to say about Nunez after the match? Do they still have faith in him?

The question is, do they feel victimised?

Klopp said Haaland's first chance.

Not only was he wrong on that count because it was actually Haaland's second chance after the one he blazed over the bar that Klopp was really talking about...

When I was watching it again on the site highlights, I paused it and I think he was on right when the ball was played.

So.....

Fuck off Jurgen

And what good would VAR have been when he didn't even score?

“Unbelievable as it may sound, maybe he’s not suited to the way Man City play. The player we saw at the World Cup is a completely different player to the one we’ve seen at Man City”
He played exactly the same for Argentina as he does for City, chases his socks off pressing, makes some great runs, gets into good positions and scores goals.
What is this man’s beef, it’s an utter bollocks article.

Is this not a bit weird?

https://amp.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/dec/26/bisexual-man-football-fan-west-ham

Going to a match and telling everyone your sexuality. What’s it got to do with football? Would you walk into Maccies, order and then shout “I LIKE MEN BTW!”

So weird and segregates him more by walking around with a banner telling everyone.

It's a sign of the very sad times we live in. I hope there isn't a world war anytime soon.
