FA Cup Third round games

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

What gets me is how there was no "conclusive" camera angle. We've had VAR for what, 3 seasons now, and this is the first instance I can recall where this has happened.

At one of the biggest grounds in the country
And it happened to save the media darlings and cup holders from a deserved early exit.
Surely there are numerous cameras in play

Even someone from the outside with no knowledge of football, would find this situation very troubling and manipulating at best, and corrupt at worst

No, initially i meant linesman's position at the time the corner is taken. At the time the ball goes in he is inline with trent.

Gotcha.

Also interesting they say there isn't a camera to see it, yet the Nunez goal they do have a camera high up in that corner as displayed by the replays for his goal. And of course the bloke I mentioned right at the corner flag with the steady cam.

Apparently, and the first time we’ve ever heard of it, there is a blind spot at Anfield with regard to VAR coverage, which probably explains quite a few of their dubious decisions, not least when Salah scored against us when he looked offside.

Also, when you look at the wide angle of the incident, after the ball goes in the linesman walks off to the centre, no flag waved, and it looked like the ref ordered him to raise the flag.

Either way, dodgy as fuck.

It's bent.

Ah so Trent plays him on . No wonder i couldn't find the linesman he was behind the goal line and the Corner flag ! not even level with the last defender.

When the corner is taken the linesman should be level with the line to check if the ball goes out of play but as soon as the first contact is made he should be level with the 2nd defender ie the offside line.

Doesn’t look like a very strong dipper team

Liverpool XI: Kelleher, Milner, Gomez, Konate, Tsimikas, Bajcetic, Thiago, Keita, Elliott, Carvalho, Gakpo.

Wolves XI: Sa, Lembikisa, Collins, Toti, Jonny, Hodge, Neves, Moutinho, Traore, Jimenez, Ait-Nouri.

No VAR at the moment due to a power cut

Let’s see if one team benefits…

Wolves can fuck off. If I didn’t want Everton, West Ham and Southampton to get relegated they’d be next on the list!

For me the result highlights how beneficial corruption is.
Liverpool in the next round, Wolves out. Never should have been a replay.
Rags could go 2nd tomorrow because of a dodgy call against Arsenal, a blatant cheat against City and a hatful of 'help' in other games. Rags should be nowhere near us or Arsenal.
