It went completely over poor Micah's head.

He won't be the last either...

Absolutely. Anyone with any intelligence knows what he was getting at. Shit refs, lack of atmosphere etc. we need to fight hard and dirty.

Did anyone notice his comments on the fouls on Rico ?

Saw the fouls on Rico in the game. The only problem is , a clever player like Rodri ( as oppose to that idiot / commentator / ex Rag Keane) rises above it.

We lost Fern , but Rodri is sooo good in midfield. He really dictates. Spuds first goal is down to Ed not Rodri.

It's difficult to explain , but you / one gets a player like Rodri who wins the ball, controls the play , is not phased when the opposition mob him. Is there to anull the opposition and does it very well , gives the team strength.

Pep is spot on with his assement of us fans and 80% of the players. We've become too comfortable and half arsed it's an unfortunate product of so much success in a short period of time. A comeback like tonight isn't that amazing anymore as we've done it so many times. Once upon a time we'd be having a heart attack, tears in our eyes with pride, lost our voices through the screaming and passion, nowadays it's just ah well 3pts. Something's amiss. The whole club is just very subdued. We've had unbelievable success but the football at times is boring and doesnt get the the blood boiling contributing to the current lack of excitement in the stadium. The buzz of Haalands first 10 or so games seems like a distant memory.

Very true.

I think it's tempo. Or lack of. Some players are scared to lose the ball so they take longer and pass slower.

All that changed tonight was tempo.

Re the atmosphere- the first home game v Bournemouth was some experience (my 6 year old's first ever trip over).

The place was hopping. And you're right, there was double the excitement because of haaland.

After the run he went on after that you nearly get used to it.

I do think this match today was the catalyst we we're looking for lately

Seriously hope so

Im just being a miserable cunt tonight. Like hot ashes, just need a bit of wind to get the flames going again. The team is lacking a bit of leadership and character on the pitch. Not seen it since Vincent Kompany, blood sweat and tears.........

Spot on. I said to the wife at half time or just after actually the only change is our tempo is sped up again.

Almost every game we’ve fucked up this season has come from us dropping the tempo, often after being a goal up or having comfortable possession and chances advantages. We just rarely seem to go for the kill when an opponent is on the ropes. United at home we did and look at what this team is able to do.
Tracking back is overrated.

First half, one shot on target, conceded two goals.
Second half, 4 goals scored, conceed zero.

Only difference was attitude.
No changes to tactics, players, etc... The only change was attitude, we upped the tempo.

Pep spot on in his interview.
We need a couple of enforcers to dish out retribution (in a supple manner). Like if you kick our kid or any of our players around be prepared to get hurt. We need a couple of mouths to harass the Ref. Get in his ear from the word go. Point out the kicking, the rediculous booking of Mahrez, and remind the ref of their bad decisions, etc...

If Lee, Buzzer, Doyle, Book, etc... were playing, Spurs would have paid a price for Rico being targeted.

We miss Fern, I was hoping that Phillips would provide some muscle and nastiness.

Ok, I’ll be the one to say it.

I’ll give Pep this. He has done a fantastic job post-match of shifting the blame for the way we’ve been playing off himself. Full marks for that.

Is Pep all there in the head? It’s quite clear when the players have had shackles put on them BY HIM and told to slow the game down. That’s on him! No one else. We can all see the difference when he tells them - “Go for it”.

Errors for the Spurs goals tonight, but second half we changed tactics and moved the ball quicker - that’s what changed. Players were allowed to be direct and that’s on Pep.

Is the guy fuckin delusional?! He needs someone in asap that will give him some home truths and not these yes men around him.

RE: The fans as well, we’ve been over this a million times - Why call them out to the media?! What does it achieve? Apart from another stick to beat us with. He got his knickers in a twist because some booed at halftime and was delusional to think it’s because of the score and not how we were playing, like he said.

Would he ever call out Barca fans? Their stadium is 80% day trippers and the atmosphere is shite, but he wouldn’t dare say anything about his precious club.

Maybe ask about the way this season has been ran? 2-3 matches a week and fans going on a cold night to watch that shite in the first half of passing sideways and backwards BECAUSE OF PEP and he wants us to sing our bollocks off?! GIVE US SOMETHING TO SING ABOUT!

Even if he feels that way, there’s never a reason to bring it up in an interview.

Can't get too excited, I'm hoping next game we dont revert to passing sideways and slow tempo. We got to beat these fucks again at theirs, our record over there is abysmal even when we were flying, God help us with this current form. I hope Conte carries on throwing his toys out of the pram

Can we please talk about some things that are starting to become a pattern?

Ederson: He's been a huge piece of our success, but for a couple of years now, even more, he is slowly turning into a liability. We've seen it so many times in games like the one from yesterday when he is sleeping for 44 minutes, then at the first situation, let's one/two in.
When we shit our bed, he is the prime suspect. We've been critical about Sterling, but I think Big Ed got a lot of free pass, but his howlers and the lacking ability to make crucial saves is something that we felt most likely in Europe.

Kevin: It's became quite a thing for me to see Grealish playing really good when Kevin is not around. We've heard this many times, but we really are a better team without him because many of our players connect better. 18/19 season comes to mind when we had our run without him.
Of course selling him is out of the question, but how can you use him when he is not getting younger and sadly, his game is slowly regressing?

Rodri: As much as I love him, a crucial part of our game, when we are going to accept he is not a defensive mid? He can't break a game. He is more of a roaming midfielder, but when teams break us on counters we are truly fucked because he can't track back/make a smart tactical fault. Look at the replay when Spurs hit the post, look at him tracking back.
Now, how many times did you see that play against us? Brentford, Everton, scouse (after a fuck up from Cancelo, to be honest). And this is just on the top of the mind.
I think Rodri can safely fill Gundo's shoes, but we need a proper ball playing midfielder, a young and fast version of Fern that will break any attempts before they start.

I am all in with Pep, the players needed the bollocking last night. I hope he will start to show less favoritism and be more harsh with them. 99% of them forget they won fuckall titles before coming here.

PS: Don't know who that Uncle Fester was last night, but the ref was a disgrace.

Pep knows what he is doing with that interview Mase. The atmosphere was flat, the players fans carried the Derby ending into the game imo add a fuck up or two plus a ref who May as well have booked Rico for his amusement the Cunt added to the tension. The comments on refs and us, have me thinking it’s not they never played the game, it’s more they were snide cunts and still are, that’s why they and the ref clique probably progressed, they are all mentored by some local to them EFL or higher Cunt, it’s like the Masons no pun intended. Mancini got us and I don’t think Pep ever has. Obviously he’s the best manager we’ve ever had, but does he think this is a one sided relationship?! The fans are like a victim of abuse, we’re always told how shit we are but never get any praise when we’re on form.

Why did he even need to mention it last night? And if his autism was kicking in and he was desperate to say something, why not mention how good the fans were the second half?! It’s always just negative from him about us. I’m getting sick of it to be honest.

We’d had one fuckin shot on goal in two matches before last night - GIVE US SOMETHING TO SHOUT ABOUT!

And here we fuckin go, full page story on the BBC about us -

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola criticises the club's fans after the team beat Tottenham

It’s just embarrassing how many times he’s done this now. And just like with his brain farts, he never ever learns.

He’s a pathetic human. Class manager, but a totally pathetic human.

Peps comments about us fans was disgusting !! he has done this far too many times and its downright fuckign out of order.
I don't care what he says about the players but you should NEVER have a pop at the fans like he does , time and again hes done it.

The focus is now not on our amazing comeback but rather on us fans and our 'shit atmosphere'..well done PeP !!!!

Instead of my 'mates' crawling under their rocks they are out in force laughing at us 'shit fans'. Some of you pep apologists might just want to step back and see the fuckign damage this manager has caused the fan base before you start to fawn over his comments!!

Unarguably a great fuckign manager but a dick head of a man.
