Pep took responsibility last night, said it was his job to sort things out - I agree
He stated clearly what he thought the problem was, that the edge had gone, so had the drive to keep winning, (him, players, fans) - I agree
He called out that Rico was targeted, that he got no protection (ref and our players) and we should be responding to that - I agree
He stated we had to contest every tackle, every ball, that the drive and hunger had to come from within - I agree
He said we were lucky to come back and win. That it was the exceptio not the rule. - I agree.

Pep saying we should protect Rico does not mean you slap a loaf on the Ref and the Spurs player and get a Red card.
It means you coldly and cooly extract revenge over the course of the game, the dark arts, a la Fern.
We can not do what Casemiro does because we would get red cards but there is more than one way to skin a cat.
If we started doing that, word would circulate and teams would start getting the message.
At this moment they can kick us to bits and not worry about the any consequences.

That is on the players.
When I played (at a very low standard but the same principle applies) if the opposition behaved like
cnuts they were treated like cnuts, you waited for the right moment, went in and made sure that it hurt, a lot. No Red cards.
We also got after the ref, over every decision. Close to the line but never over it.
The above was not expected from every player because not everyone could do it, everyone is different and brings something unique to the collective,
but we always had at least three players who could dish it out and would back each other up. It was always enough.

The great and dirty Leeds team of the 60s/70s came to mind, Bremner and Giles were excellent footballers but if you tried any rough stuff with them you
were going to pay with pain. Same with Lee, Buzzer, Doyle, Book, etc....

Football has not changed that much, the same rules apply. People need to know that if they mess with you, you will not take it lightly.
And if you want to achieve difficult things in life you need to consistently give it your best shot. We are not doing that this season.

As a fan in the stadium yesterday, I can 100% confirm that the City fans did not boo the team or the manager.

Boos came from a few fans and they were aimed at the referee - we saw Rico Lewis fouled multiple times and Spurs seemed to get favourable yellow card decisions.

My dad said only boos he heard were from Colin Bell Stand and there was barely any.

It starts from the top. As a club we’ve let the FA, Uefa, referees, the media shit all over us. But Pep wants his players to stick up for each other? How about we start as a fuckin club doing it first, and the players will follow.

And maybe he could even stick up for the fans a little from time to time.

Even last night he could have said, “first 45 the fans were a bit quiet, but they were magnificent second half”. It stops the media just leading with the “Pep digs out City fans again” nonsense.

I’ve had non stop shit from my rag loving mates thanks to our manager and some fans think Pep had the right to slag the fans off ?

The atmosphere at the start of the season was fantastic. Bournemouth 1st game was like a last game PL win or against dippers or rags.
Last night it was dead quiet.- away from home he's right, it's great.
Tell your rag mates that Fergie did the same with their fans, Klopp did it to theirs a few years ago. I bet the atmosphere is better Sunday.

I imagine it was a bit flat because it was midweek. Load of regulars just don't or can't get to them.

Pep didn’t mention boos mate, Well not until the guy interviewing did. Then he said they wouldn’t be booing because of the performance but rather the fact we were losing. The caller also explained that.

All big stadiums in England are the same. Take out the you will never wank alone moment and you hear the grasshoppers on scouse arena.
