One might have thought so.

A horrible 0-0 will do. Can't bring myself to hope for a scumbag win even with the current situation.

This is a free hit, whatever the score I can take something out of it.

Pep says Foden has a foot injury and advised to rest it as a precaution.

Got to say Grealish working his socks off, going forward and tracking back. Can't say the same about Foden, just stands there waving his arms every time loses the ball. He needs to knuckle down and work himself back into the team.

Decent game, almost like Wolves see it as a localish game, fiery bad tempered. We should have had 6/7/8. Take out the cheating from the swamp we would be top. Onwards.

Leaving Palmer out of it, we'll have to differ on him, if Foden's absence from the squad is not through injury there seems to be is a significant problem manifesting itself. Speculation about his personal life is rife on Twitter but his poor form speaks for itself - what's going wrong?

Out with a foot injury today was what i had heard? Regardless, he ahould be sitting out games on merit at present. Mahrez and Grealish ahead of him on both sides

Oh please , stop with this. Trying to make out something is wrong. who on earth takes any notice of the crap that gets written in social media ? .

Some people were bitching about Pep not giving youth a chance , yet he has given young rico a chance , in games we might consider very critical to the season recently and had no qualms about pulling a couple of defenders no less the other week against the chavs at half time.

It is a squad game, We could bitch about Bernie not starting ahead of Mahrez, - Mrs trouble , but Mahrez has stepped up the last two games.

We still have a tough program ahead until end of Feb. We need to nobble the Arse on Friday and on the 15th. Then the steam roller will get fired up.

If it's a recurring foot injury as is now being reported it is also concerning, he missed a lot games with a similar problem last season.

Foden been out for weeks on my feed. Haven’t seen him do anything since the World Cup.

The work rate and impact of mahrez and Grealish lately is making them both starters in big games.

3 more for Haaland is a brilliant, clean sheet, good minutes for players coming back into form and job done.
Tracking back is overrated.

So important Grealish and Mahrez get fed with diagonal balls. If all they get are short passes when they’re double marked they have little option but to pass back. A sweeping diagonal ball can ensure they receive the ball with a bit of space. They can start a run and have momentum before they’re challenged. Then their dribbling skills come into play. You could really see how this helped Grealish yesterday.

Agree. The importance of Laporte and Stones.

I meant it’s been weeks since he did anything. I know he’s played because I’ve seen the lineups announced, but what he’s done after kickoff i cannot recall.

This is the worst patch I’ve seen him in since debut and if it’s attitude related pep will fix it.

To be honest, in the first part of the season he was only effective when used as a super-sub, it seemed to me. In the 2nd part even that has failed.
