Exactly. If they had enough evidence they’d go for the kill with us. Not a “small points deduction”.

It’s all about the pressure placed on the PL by the cartel clubs. They know the investigation was going nowhere so forced the issue prior to the government getting involved.

Anybody noticed how the charges in the statement were inaccurate which means that it was rushed and no diligence was completed prior to dissemination, not even bothering to give City notice?

PS. On an entirely different note, the energy companies are absolute cunts and can suck my balls.

Looks that way. The cartel clubs squeezing the PL's testicles and threatening them with a SL breakaway if they did not nail us.
If anyway accurate this means the cartel clubs will only be happy with a severe punishment that takes us out of the picture. There are many ways to do that without expelling us. For ex, points deductions every season for say 5 seasons ensuring we cannot qualify for CL accompanied by transfer bans, etc...
I know the independent commission decides guilt and punishment but VAR was introduced for transparency and to eliminate errors!

This is going to get very dirty because the stakes are so high.

Let's also not forget this white paper the government wanted in a day or two. So it looks like the PL are doing their job in regards policing clubs, problem is they picked the wrong club!!!

Aye, and made even worse because of Liverpools position. I’ve no doubt that they are blaming us for their decline this season, citing that competing against us has worn them out, leading to increased spending to alleviate the issue.

We won’t take any hits on this one though, we will fight them all the way and clear our name.

It’s revenge under the guise of an EPL decision.

The same Yank ownerships Manchester City were the first club to quit after Chelsea had said it would look to prepare plans to withdraw. The other four sides - Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham - have all now done the same. The Super League said it would reconsider "the most appropriate steps" to reshape the project. The same only Chelsea are $ owned now. It’s a cartel.

It was at this point that the City project went into overdrive. Sergio Agüero, Yaya Touré, David Silva, Roberto Mancini. The FFP drawbridge was shutting and they escalated recruitment rapidly to get inside the castle. The accusation remains that, in doing so, they were not honest. Maybe. But, paradoxically, they kept the league honest, because standards improved and have never been higher. City have helped make the Premier League the place to be, because the best players are here, the best managers and the best football. Still, watching mediocre United teams win title after title; that would definitely have been fun too.

This should be put on a banner -

Man City believe a former member of the playing or coaching staff turned informer for the Premier League’s investigation.

The club is currently carrying out internal investigations to find the identity of the individual.

This part is fascinating. I wonder who can it be?
Arteta?

Saw that yesterday mate but it was quickly shot down for having no substance.

Players and staff wouldn’t have any information on Mancini’s contract conditions. It’s just media nonsense to try and put us in the guilty column because “look look even their ex players knew about it”.

Every media outlet is running as many stores as they can to try to bring us down. We mustn't do their jobs for them. Stick together boys and girls and we will go after he whole lot of them

Good point. Equally, lovely guy Garry, but if that’s the best they’ve got then good luck to them  at the level he was at he would be implicating himself and he’d also be brought up on charges. This isn’t just being charged by the Prem, we’re essentially being accused of fixing our books - HMRC would come knocking id imagine regarding tax that is owed. Garry would be dropping himself in it massively. Im not sure what the punishment is for fixing your accounts, but I’d imagine he’d be facing jail time.

I have a feeling Gary Cook is a self righteous cock, he abused Mansour's weath, something about him doesn't sit right. The way he brandished money, wasn't structured, tried pulling off audacious deals by throwing money at it. I know the spafia get a lot of flak, at least they put a structure and built solid foundations. Were they left with a financial mess from previous directors?

Are the charges referenced to tge current rule book or to each years rule book covering the decade of our misbehaviour. If it's this year's rule book, do all the silly mistakes evapirate or have the PL definitely messed up. Think an awful lot of people are hoping they've messed up but is it wishful thinking

I don’t think Garry is stupid enough to implicate himself though. It’s essentially saying, I knew and was part of fixing accounts. There’s a good chance he’d go to jail and have to do some time.

The thing with this is it’s not just the Premier League. Auditors are being essentially accused of not being able to do their job and spot we’d been cooking the books and/or they themselves were taking a back hander.
