I don't think you can blame him for the goal today. Laporte was done like a kipper and nobody doubled up behind him, one of those games like Mancini says you've got to stop going for the 2nd and make sure you don't concede.

No, not to blame today to be fair. But it does seem like every fucking game the opposition score with their first shot on target. I know it isn’t actually the case statistically speaking but it’s fucking annoying
Especially when other teams goalies seem to make loads of saves

The thing is here is this myth he is so important in our game, but is he? This season his passing also was abysmal, he created a lot of pressure on the back with poor passes and so on.
We build from the back, agree, but ultimately he is a goalkeeper and his job is to save our ass, not create chances.

I don't want us to ship him, but I want him to wake the fuck up because it looks like he is living a care free life.

I think if we had switched keepers before the game, we win, Navas was amazing.

Our style of play has changed. Not sure yet if it's for the better because we're definitely in a transitional period...

His distribution seems to be all he has at the minute.

I'd drop him for ortega for a game or two. I remember harte being dropped for a couple and it did him and us no harm whatsoever.

I think he needs to sharpen up and fearing your place in the side sometimes is the only way to do it.

The above isn't based on today's game obviously. More so over the course of this season, particularly last 10 games

There was a keeper at fault for the goal today but it wasn't Eddie

Love the bloke when we’re winning, not so good when we drop a point or two in our many winning seasons.

Was it Ederson’s fault today, or was it a player/system fault.

We win and lose as a team, being the best should dismiss blaming a single player.

No fault of Eds for their goal , none at all .

Pep saw that they brought five subs on late in the game. He didn't react . Gundo , tin tin, bernie were running on empty.

I agree, but why are our players running out of steam?

I think it’s time we started looking. Watching Allison and DeGea saving their asses every game has me wondering where we’d be with a proper goalkeeper.

This one shot one goal madness has to end.

Wasn't long ago Allison was worst than Karius, he was dropping clangers left, right and centre. Even DeGea was terrible. Goalkeepers are as good as the defence in front of them. I'm not saying Ederson is blameless, I can't see a goalie out there more suited to our system

Allison has always been clear of Eddy. He had a shaky spell but still dropped WC saves each match. Take off the blue tints and you’ll see it.

It would be nice to have a GK who can save us sometimes. It’s becoming bravo like unfortunately.

All the time Allison has been at Scouse2, there has been nothing that convinces me he is bette than Ed. Cold feet , miskicks.

Golden Gloves aren’t the barometer of how good a goalie is. You could keep 20 clean sheets and not have a save to make in those games and concede 70 goals in the other 18 without making a save.

The defence as a whole is as important

Allison is not dogshit. Not by a long way. Distribution isn’t good but he makes a lot of saves
