So would Robertson and Casemiro if they played for a non-Red team.

And their statement is so ignorant. Only one disaster mentioned, yet again:
“It is shocking that more than 30 years after the Hillsborough disaster any club and our group of fans would be subject to such fundamental safety failings which have had such a devastating impact on so many. But even more concerning is the realisation that for families, friends and survivors of Hillsborough, Paris has only exacerbated their suffering."
By God they love to milk it.

In all honesty, Hillsborough is the only (vaguely) apt comparison here. At Heysel, Liverpool fans intentionally charged at a group of football fans (composed largely of migrant workers and their children) with the aim of assaulting and injuring them, for which 14 people were found guilty of manslaughter, with the investigation being obfuscated by Liverpool supporters who were witnesses to the event to such an extent that further charges couldn't be brought.

UEFA should just come out and say:
'.....Liverpool fans turned up without tickets, tried to gain illegal access to the game, putting intolerable pressure on the entry system,
thus putting legitimate ticket holders in jeporardy, almost causing another disaster that could have resulted in loss of life - just like they did at Heysel'
That would put an end to pampering them and kill nonsense headlines and dribble like the following:
'Sky Sports News' Kaveh Solhekol on the overdue redemption for Liverpool fans over the Champions League final,
and why they should now get a refund - and an apology.'
Had to be a money angle in there. Refund for what - they had no tickets?
Never ever their fault.

I thought the main reason that the number of convictions was so low was that most of the scousers involved were guilty of GBH rather than manslaughter, and GBH isn't an extraditable offence?

I must be mistaken but wasn’t he an absolute car crash when he was a manager? But he thinks he can tell Pep what needs to be done! Ffs
