Bernardo on instead off Mahrez. Stones starts, Walker on the bench. Figures going for control of midfield with Bernardo. I’d like to see our height count at set pieces. Stones Dias Rodri. Surely there’s a goal there.

Pep's gone full control mode with that lineup. Wish Mahrez was playing, though. He's much better as a starter than coming off the bench. Bayern have benched both Cancelo and Mane, as suspected. Upamecano and De Ligt are plenty physical enough to deal with Haaland. We need to get runners in and around him or else we could see him isolated.

Well he does speak fluent German so he will automatically know what they are saying to each other, which does help.

A side good enough to win. We are bang in form and are scoring plenty. Tonight should in theory be no different.

Upamecano has the turning circle of a barge. I can't see him stopping anyone.
btw Mane was right pissed off over the weekend .

Akanji is great when the game is secure, an absolute problem when it is not. He simply is not good enough for this elite level of game and it may well be the difference. Walker was the obvious choice for pace alone, with Stones shifting over.

That shit show passing backwards against Southampton was embarrassing.

BT are fucking ridiculous. Opening gambit of City up against it with many peoples CL favourites being Bayern and if we do that then onto Real Madrid, followed closely with the return of a haunting Tuchel and pictures of when Chelsea beat us in the CL final.
All doom and gloom for us tonight from BT yet I’m looking forward to it.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

Has Akanji ever had a single fucking good game against Bayern? Every time he played against them for Dortmund, they got absolutely battered.
