***Champions v Arsenal Official Match Thread***

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Watched City since 1972. I've seen them go up level after level after level. This team has a level that no team I've ever seen has had. They swept The Arse aside like a Championship team, could have scored 8 but for their goalkeeper who was by far their best player. I could not devise a plan to stop Haaland and KDB, they play as one; it's Cruyff and Neeskins, only more utterly devastating.

Grealish, Rodri, Dias, Bernardo, Gundogan. The blend is rich almost beyond words. Guardiola is a complete football genius.

That was something else last night. If we can get close to that level in fa cup final we'll destroy the rags. Real Madrid will be a test but on current form we'll beat them too. Beat Fulham we'll have our fingertips on premier league trophy. Fantastic stuff.

Is anyone going to comment on Foden's touch for the 4th goal? There's skill and then there is that. He would not look out of place in the 1970 Brazil team with a touch like that. Brilliant.

Don't get too excited - be nice to get through the season without Pep doing some weird decision in a semi or final.

Akanji at left back against Saka - what nutter would do that? :D

Has anyone seen a replay from the handball appeal from us in the first couple of minutes? Sure sky didn’t show one……yet when they had an appeal against Haaland they put up a replay straight away? Odd

Partey thought changing the name on his shirt would mean we’d forget he’s been accused of rape  (allegedly)

Such a dominant win. KDB could rightly be passed off Haaland didn't assist him a hat trick.

Well done blues. We are on our way to 3 in a row.

Only just had a chance to post.
Was at the game on Wednesday, and the one thing that hasn't had a mention is the atmosphere.
The whole place was rocking big time, with continuous singing from all round the ground.
One of the very best yet, and I really think the team responded to it.

As already mentioned many times, Oliver was either bent, incompetent, or following orders, I suspect the latter.
I've lost all respect for Arse after that, they were whinging and cheating all game.
And there aren't enough superlatives to describe how good City were.
We were so superior the Arse players were all shit scared.

Interesting. I couldn't go. It sounded shit on BT and I think they kept flicking a switch to filter it. Rags were snagging off.

My mate said first half was buzzing, second half bit shit (whixh winds me.up)
