Are you talking about the season under Keegan where both sets of fans were banned from going to the away fixture?

Says here the Millwall thing is a myth - https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/man-city-fans-song-invisible-14429950?int_source=amp_continue_reading&int_medium=amp&int_campaign=continue_reading_button#amp-readmore-target

My memory might be failing me but I'm sure it was well before Keegan. Think it was a 1 all draw, goater got the goal. I was in my teenage youth back then but had a season ticket from 95 to 01 and I had never heard that song sang until after the Millwall game. Maybe 97 or 98? Same season Birmingham came to Maine road and they rioted like animals in the north stand.

City fans did get into the new den that night, I remember it well. Listening to BBC Manchester or 1152 and the commentator (Brian Clarke?) made plenty of reference to us having some fans in the ground (Millwall did too, so home fans were definitely allowed in)

Surely somebody else remembers all this? I can't be talking out of my arse after all these years surely.

We were in Div 2 with them in 98/99 so possibly that season? We had our season ticket but I was 13 so I can’t remember if the fans were banned then.

Fucks sake, I think I am being a thick old cunt. You were right about the away fans being banned in 2001, I've just found a couple of match reports. Ignore me, I'm more than likely wrong altogether.

I do remember the viciousness of the 98 game coming through the radio. Sounded absolutely fucking awful. But I'm probably wrong on the invisible man song. Don't know why, but something has always stuck with me about attaching that tune to Millwall.

Hopefully they take their anger out on arsenal.

If they beat arsenal, they have a slim chance of champs league. If not, they are out and hopefully already on the beach

Found their form before us? Good they're getting this win so they might ease off a bit at the weekend?

Lads I'm bricking this run in. I don't like it at all. Sorry, I'm a shit bag admittedly.

Brighton let three VAR cockups go . Wierdly lose to the worst goal scoring side ever. Something a bit smelly in Denmark - and it's not just yesterday's roll mops.

I always thought it was something rotten in the state of Denmark, just saying.

I’m with KK. I’m a nervous wreck, but I suppose it’s good to be nervous about us actually winning stuff rather than if we’ll survive relegation

As Churchill said : Success is not final, failure is not fatal, it is the courage to continue that counts.” We will prevail not bad for an old timer eh.
