Off the bench, who do you trust in that hellfiire? Foden, probably. The rest? Nope. Big squad myth exposd there. Madrid have many more options, if we want to compete with them, we will need many new faces, all must be better than Phillips and the young lads who are way off. Paper thin, right now.

We are literally on the edge here.

It was the most annoying thing about the game, why Foden didnt come on was baffling. A case for Julian as well.
Several payers didn't play well and we got away with it.
Two huge games coming up and fatigue is the worry.

Mahrez as well. He scored there last season. Would have given us a different option.

I agree with a post above somewhere, he probably learned that when he changes the unit, against a half-decent team, it fucks up. First point of evidence is last year's semi - second one is the Scum home game when we were 6-0 up or something.

I don't know what it is (collective mentality?) but there is a strong case for leaving things as they are - if it ain't broke don't fix it. Players on the field are fully in the zone, players on the bench not even warmed up

Actually mentioned the strength of the bench after the teams were announced. Truly baffling to not make one or two. Can see the logic of mot making 4/5 as that can disrupt the rhythm of the play. But one or two to replace tired legs is the reason subs are there

Wholesale changes - yes I agree. But one change isn’t going to harm us. Gundo was dying last night, Foden on for him and it wouldn’t have been like bringing Gomez on against the Rags.

Yep, but I reckon that works when you are up?
Gundogan was shocking last night. Gave the ball away constantly and let Vinicius scored. Hope that penalty from the weekend didn't got to him. Fresh legs were badly needed.
But was thinking, take Gundo off and put who? Bernie there? He was also knackered. Fatty Philips no way, so not changing was understandable somewhat, but was a big big risk.

Rumours I've read suggesy he threw peanuts at them, there's a photo on Read But Never Red of him doing the Bras D'honnuer.

If all true they had no choice but to move him.

Still waiting to see footage of the BT studio when KDB scored.

Considering how they couldn't wait to show Camelgob cheering Madrids goal

Why are they talking about the ball going out at our goal? The play went on, Cavaminga had the ball and passed it poorly and we got it back and scored.

Yeah I thought the same, he was stumbling a bit.

Perhaps RM bosses gave him too much hospitality (we can guess why).

The only time in the went in directors box at City, they made it abundantly clear that while away fans are welcome, if they cheer an away goal they will be moved in.

Probably the same rule everywhere.

Perhaps Erling has been embarrassed by his dad before, inonow my son has by me and he's only 8

Though I'd much rather see footage of Camelgob crying as we lift the trophy to complete the treble

Looking back at the match again, I do understand why the likes of foden didn't come on for Grealish because of ball rentention etc, but we certainly should have hooked Haaland for Alvarez.

The thing with Haaland is even when he's doing nothing he still scares the shit out of the opposition defence and that's why we were getting so much space for the others to shoot near the edge of the box.
I'd have taken Gundo and Bernardo off personally for Foden and Mahrez/Alvarez

I think he kept Bernardo to track back and help Walker. Cavaminga was everywhere last night, I think their best man.

You're probably right but he kept giving stupid free kicks away in dangerous positions.
