Spanish media taking the piss out of Erling. I love it. Watch what happens.

Bad behaviour is starting shit with a dad for celebrating his son's team scoring. I'm delighted with all of this by the way, along with the shit they're giving Erling in the Spanish press (on the back of calling him an Ogre).

He'll tear them a new one in Manchester, putting himself further ingrained in our club and further away from theirs, hopefully.

Off the bench, who do you trust in that hellfiire? Foden, probably. The rest? Nope. Big squad myth exposd there. Madrid have many more options, if we want to compete with them, we will need many new faces, all must be better than Phillips and the young lads who are way off. Paper thin, right now.

We are literally on the edge here.

It was the most annoying thing about the game, why Foden didnt come on was baffling. A case for Julian as well.
Several payers didn't play well and we got away with it.
Two huge games coming up and fatigue is the worry.

I agree with a post above somewhere, he probably learned that when he changes the unit, against a half-decent team, it fucks up. First point of evidence is last year's semi - second one is the Scum home game when we were 6-0 up or something.

I don't know what it is (collective mentality?) but there is a strong case for leaving things as they are - if it ain't broke don't fix it. Players on the field are fully in the zone, players on the bench not even warmed up

It was broke though and we got away with it.

Gundo became a liability and Bernardo also joined in - both should have been subbed and I cannot see how anyone can disagree.

Repeat - we got away with it but if PeP insists on the same game plan , ie no fuckign subs no matter what , then hes pushing his luck again in this competition.

Ancelloti made various subs and RM had more of the ball and became more dangerous........he is better than pep at making these changes and PeP should really stop with the fuckign bullshit of refusing to follow suit.

If it wasn't for that brilliant save from Edi then this page would be full of posts slagging pep off to high heaven for refusing to make any changes and for losing the game 2-1!.

Had a debate with some rags yesterday about that, their reply was a picture of cunt and half in a Palestine football shirt. Virtue signalling converts thugs to saints somehow.

I think we can look at boxing when they beat the living daylights out of each other and then are the best mates at the end……most of the time !!!
There was some serious fouling going on though and the ref completely failed to deal with it and was also fooled by two clear dives.

Didn't mind walker and vini embracing at the end. Two sportsmen that had a good fair tough contest.
Their right back and that thug Rudiger on the other hand, didn't see any city players hugging them cunts.
Did they?

Imagine how we’d feel if we’d drawn 1-1 at the Etihad and faced a trip to the Bernabeu in the second leg.

Indeed

You could see in the Madrid players and coaching staffs reactions after the match they knew their best chance of progress was to win their home leg. That isn't to say the tie is a formality. Far from it. But we are favourites and rightly so given the circumstances.

And as CFTG alluded to, we weren't anywhere near our best. If we turn it on, we go through. And Madrid know this. And so do the media. And it's hurting them

Agree about Walker and Vini Jr. Two players at the top of their games duelling it out.

One of the most iconic pictures of Pele was his embrace with Bobby Moore after the game in the 1970 World Cup

Didn't see Rudiger or Carvahal getting any change out of our boys at the end and would certainly hope they didn't. It's one thing to have a good, fair, hard fought contest with an opponent. Its quite another to be cheated, as those aforementioned two, with a few others I might add, did so

BBC running with the headline story about Alfie being asked to leave the box. Fuck me that’s the main headline?! There’s nothing else happened in football today or a match tonight?

Agreed. City have several levels in them above that display. It was enough on the night to get a good result but we rarely threatened. Wednesday is a mouth-watering prospect//.
