Every club pitch invades apart from red scum and any game at Wembley because you can't get on it

My dad is on the waiting list for bypass operation as he had a heart attack two years ago. He’s had his season ticket for just under 30 years straight but he really struggles at matches now because he can’t stay in the same position for too long.

He missed the trophy presentation yesterday because of the delay so after waiting 10 minutes and seeing people weren’t going off the pitch he had to go home because he knew he’d be waiting ages for them to leave and he was struggling sitting there in the heat. He could stop going to games now and you could crack on for the rest of your life and you wouldn’t have watched as many matches as him.

Ultimately though, the club announced a few times for fans not to do it, so why not respect the clubs wishes?

I couldn’t get to the Chelsea match but I was at the Villa match at the end of last season. Everyone around me was absolutely fed up with the delay to the celebrations from the pitch invasion. At least last season people were understandably excited after an incredible finish to the game. This time there was no such excuse.

1) are you twelve?

2) the harm is penalties. The harm is our image, as a club, as fans, as mancs, as northerners, as civilised human beings. The harm is the potential for some dickhead among us to take it too far. Look at what happened after the villa game last year, their prick of a keeper and manager made a meal out of him getting a tap but for days there were headlines of "city fan attacks goalkeeper". Whether it was accurate or not, some weapon took things too far and made us look like animals.

Honestly can't believe we're having this conversation.

Do you attend? Are you based in tier 1 if so? Have you ever been involved in a pitch invasion? We're you at munich? Are you going to Istanbul?

And I'm 34 fyi.

Lol not at all, one Karen on the ticket group on Facebook moaned about this and got absolutely lynched by everyone on there.

The difference is everyone on the ticket groups are based in manc and go to games, mase I know you go or did but most on this forum don't.

Unsure how 1) is getting stick? We are the richest club in the world money is no object and our fans get rinsed more and more every year. The club do not care. Train strikes and what have they done? Final in Istanbul? What have they done?

They club don't actually care about pitch invasions. Watch the txiki documentary. After arriving I told the stewards (who I know) we'd be on the pitch (half joking) and they said we know, we don't care.

But seen as its triggered all the Karen's I'll find a way to upload the Huddersfield one where I was second on..

And total time surelywasn't much. I'd wager a bet that the covid presentation took longer to start (with no pitch invasion) due to City's delay (announcing every coach etc.) Think I left before Agueros presentation even.

It's once in a lifetime memories - getting photos on the pitch with your friends and family and city friends.

I've had a season ticket for 15 years mate and no I've never been on the pitch.

I can understand why after the Agueroooo goal and our first league title for donkeys years people would want to do it, due to the raw emotion, but it's all a bit forced and cringey now tbh. But each to their own.

Was on the pitch when we beat Wigan to go to Wembley for the first time since 81. Given the cluster fuck of the previous seasons and the hope that result gave, it was fair reason for people to be joyous. Same at ewood park the following year. As mentioned above, aguero goal certainly justifies it.

Emotional release can do that. Spontaneous eruptions of joy and wanting to celebrate. There was nothing spontaneous about yesterday. It just made us all look like try hard clowns. But whatever, apparently I'm less of a fan because I moved away from Manchester and have different responsibilities to take care of now.

I'll get off my horse now but seriously, richest club in the world and expecting them to pull out all the stops to get our fans to games? The world doesn't work like that. It's properly mental that any full grown adult would believe that's what can and should happen. I'm rich compared to a hungry homeless guy but I'm not going to take the cunt to The Ivy. He can have a sausage roll and fuck off.

Looks like City told Sky they could interview Gundo on the pitch after the match but that they weren’t allowed to ask him about his future.

Really weird. I wonder if that confirms he’s off, but that they don’t want it public to take away from the finals.

I think it means he hasn't made his mind up yet. It would be a bit of a poor show by journalists asking him a question like that during a title celebration, and, considering the state of journalists these days, the club had to explicitly remind them of that fact.

(I personally have a feeling he'll leave, but I think nothing's set in stone yet)

For some reason, I read that in the voice of Sam Allardyce in my head.

I absolutely love sausage rolls so I’d take that. Anything better than a Greggs sausage roll?!

I can confirm as a romanian, a fine connoisseur of the famous ”mici”, that Greggs's sausages are as the same level as Dave Silvas passes.
