Fly Stansted to cologne
Fly cologne to Istanbul
Taxi to the hotel
arrive 1am Saturday morning

Yeah, that made me think too. The web quotes start around 250£ so not THAT bad if 4 or 5 passengers. Petrol ( one way) and parking would probably be about 75-100 quid in your own car.

if i was driving all that way, i'd be looking at the easiest option for secure parking knowing that i'd need my car to be one piece in order to get home!
the airport would be my shout for you as there will be direct routes into the city...
prices are seriously cheap (by our ridiculous uk standards), you're looking at €25 for a week

Look for Ispark's covered parking spaces (not street parking). They are safe... Ispark is managed by the Istanbul Municipality. There should be a big multitier one near to hotels' area in Taksim where Haberturk Newspaper HQ is.

MVP (galaxy size) going Manchester to Stansted and coming back Heathrow to Manchester

£717 between 4 of us. Bargain - £180 Each. It would have cost me that to return on a train and chances are, they would strike on us.
