A much deserved statue and deserves its own thread. I hope this is designed in a way that reflects the era and not some modern artistic conception.

Well in City!
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?

What’s happened with Franny Lee? I know Summerbee is always in and around the club and Bell was before his death.

I rarely see Franny mentioned or see him around the club?

Could well be because of the fall-out between him and Colin. Colin refused to speak to him again following Lee, when chairman, sacking him from his coaching role, despite subsequent attempts by Tony Book to patch things up between them. I guess it would have been uncomfortable for Franny regularly bumping into CB at the ground and he presumably found other things to do on match days (though he has made a few appearances on special occasions).

I recall hearing about the rift around the time it happened. However, it wasn’t until I read CB’s autobiography (co-written with Cheesy) and Forever Boys (by James Lawton), which gives a superb account of the Mercer - Allison era, that I grasped how badly the dismissal affected CB, who regarded the affair as a betrayal by someone who he’d regarded as one of his best mates. One of several grave errors of judgement by Franny when he became chairman I’d say!

Rumours also that there’s been threats a man is going to chain himself to the statue once complete.

Sacked Horton who was doing a great job to employ Ball as well.
Also sacked King Colin and didn't have the balls to do it himself, got Neil McNab to do it while he was holidaying in Barbados

If he's before your time (I'm 34) and you didn't watch the old tapes as a kid I'm appalled.

I think Buzzer should be in the middle separating Lee & the King - Colin hated Franny.

All three are before my time but they are all a massive part of our history. It's a very fitting tribute to them and chuffed the club are doing this. Shows how much we really mean to them.
