Phillips on loan to West Ham might be a sweetener since Phillips doesn’t want to leave. If City make a second bid it won’t be 110. More likely faster repayments and more credible top ups. But I'd say Rice is at this stage better than Lavia. By a long way. That's not to say Lavia won't overtake him at some point, but he's only had one season and an OK one at that. £40m is a lot for potential the same as £110 for Rice is overpriced
