The Best.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

An extremely rare player in that opposition fans almost to a man never had a bad word to say about him.

Even the BBC HYS was in general full of praise

It was a pleasure to have him grace and control our midfield for a fantastic decade. Hopefully he will inspire future generations of talented kids to choose City

Showed a lot of restraint not to batter Kev that time.

Oh no, Oh no .

He is on a higher plateau.

He lived and worked outside of the Spanish Mafia. Untouchable.

The very essence of a Craftsman doing his work.

I'll never forget watching him control the game in Salzburg. Some City fans simply did not see his brilliance. ( I got a bit pissed off with them and told them to shut up and just watch him )

What a player.

Enjoy your retirement, You did us proud.

Loved him during his time with us and it was a sad day when he left. All the best EL Mago.

Absolute genius, my favourite ever player.
As somebody said earlier there was never a bad word from opposition fans about him and whenever we played in Spain if he got substituted he always got applauded off by the home fans.
Only regret was his farewell game was in the lockdown season so he didn't get a proper goodbye. Hopefully that can be rectified this coming season

very different players, Colin was the complete box to box midfielder - a non-stop heading, tackling, goalscoring, running machine - Merlin was simply a genius of ball control and passing

Shame he's retiring on an injury, I was really hoping we'd draw sociedad in the CL this year. Love how he's been bossing it out there!

Hope he enjoys his retirement and gets back involved with city :)

Same with Kolarov mate. What players they were. When playing together in full flow was there a better pair than Silva and Kola? I believe they were the reason 5 year old Bellingham, now 15, got into football.
