I think because there is a big hype around him for two years now as he is considered the best next thing when it comes to defenders.
With Laporte it comes to this two, imho
- injury record
- Same as Sterling and Jesus, he wants the game time we can't give him.

Gvardiol is a gamble, but I think Father Ruben will help him a lot. I saw he is always there with Stones, Ake, Akanji or Eric.

I think it's strange that there isn't more interest in Laporte. No doubt we would sell at a very competitive price.
