The latest offer for the 19-year-old Belgian is believed to have been about £46m including add-ons, with Southampton reportedly wanting £50m.

He is not a winger, he is very similar to Gundo, more similar than Kovacic.

The logical thing is that Philips is on his way while Kovacic will be moved as a holding mid, like Rodri.

Imagine KDB at West Ham. Doubt he would be anywhere near the player he is currently. Paqueta could be a similar scenario for us. For us to allegedly bid £70m, Pep and Txiki must see something in the lad that can transcend to a higher level

Must say my initial reaction was WTF but I haven’t really seen much of West Ham so my knowledge of him is admittedly very sketchy
