Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Think we've played well tbh. High intensity as the half went on. Palmer though. The goal was his fault, losing possession when we were exposed, he's slowing everything down. He plays very much like Mahrez but with nowhere near the talent level.
Like what I've seen of the new boy so far. Getting properly involved.

Like walking football. I think Sevilla are way further down the fitness line than us, we have to be more clinical with our passes and don’t get to perturbed about their pace.
it would still be too fast for kalvin

Big few games for Foden if he wants to stake a long term claim for KDB position.
Early days, but already you can see why Pep has little faith in him.

Palmer is being bullied and can’t handle it at the moment, he’s been shut down. This is a growth game for him and needs to exert himself on their LB. A test that he needs to stand-up to.

Not well KK, agree about Cole - just doesn't seem to have the pace or passing to break a line - like others think we'll see Lewis central and Foden on the left. Possibly Alvarez on for Haaland or Phil pretty soon too.

'Played Well'? Must be watching a different game. Sevilla have sat bat let us fuck about with the ball then stopped us when we get close. We have no snap or invention and Foden, Palmer Haaland Akanji and even Rodri are well off it. Grealish is playing his normal game. Like watching him the first half of last season. In my opinion we have been shite, but i respect you can have a different view on the game

All of the attacking players are having a poor game. Would prefer Rico playing where Akanji is.
Sevilla are not a good team. They finished 12th last season and lost their first game this season.
Big improvement needed in the second half.
NOT an excuse but they are used 25°+ heat for 7 months a year.

It’d be an excuse for me, need at least a week to acclimatise to those conditions.

I agree Foden has been poor but we literally have 1 attacking sub available in Alvarez.
So we’re limited in what we can do

I was thinking him for Akanji (assuming Stones isn’t 100%).
But any changes would be welcomed. We don’t look like scoring based on our current set-up.
