That's what I would be worried about some of these Saudi nut jobs will come along and offer Pep 100m a year.

Honestly can't see that happening. From a manager perspective, they'll be sniffing round the calibre of Brendan Rodgers, David Moyes, Ranieri et al. for the foreseeable future.

Moyes?

If you are spending big money on players it stands to reason you want the best to coach them.

If you bought a Ferrari you wouldn't get it serviced by a local grease monkey or put Tesco own brand oil in

A big-name manager doesn't sell shirts. They brought in Gerrard this summer, which is an indicator of the level of manager they're aiming for at the moment. Remember that the Saudi League is centralized, and player/manager recruitment is essentially determined by the league, rather than the clubs. I reckon they're still the best part of a decade away from trying to recruit managers who've consistently won trophies in the 'Big 5' European leagues, if that's even a part of their long-term strategy. Plus, I don't know how a centralized system would go about choosing/allocating top-level managers; there simply aren't enough out there to spread across the entire league.

Yeah, in the same way Capello was a PL manager because he managed the England national team.

Football Focus being cancelled. I think we all said this would happen when they started replacing people with….people that aren’t qualified…

The most dramatic fall in viewing figures coincides with Alex Scott replacing Dan Walker as Focus' main presenter in 2021. In Walker's last season before he was moved on the average weekly
August audience was 827,000, before dropping to 809,000 in 2021, 599,000 12 months later and
564,000 this year.

If we ever had the impression Messi had a brain:

Regarding his return to Paris after the World Cup, Messi told ESPN's Migue Granados: "I was the only player of the 25 that didn't get a [club] recognition."
He had reportedly wanted to present the World Cup at the Parc des Princes prior to a game but the club feared the reaction would be negative given Argentina beat teammate Kylian Mbappe and France.

PSG it's a pit of snakes, no doubt, but imagine him celebrating it in front of a full stadium in Paris.

Rag fanboy Chappers managed to do the PL Table update on MOTD2 last night without mentioning us at all, quite an achievement! Their Fernandez inspired "Best Ever PL Volleys " closing compilation also featured Rooney, Scholes & Van Persie (double helping) but no City example - BBC/MUTV Sport's pain is beyond hilarious.

Stone Beeb , headline quotes pep as "admits Failing to replicate leeds form" and in the article , nowhere does Pep say that he has failed.
