Is there more to this than meets the eye?

Quite easy this “throw shit around and see what sticks” lark.

Most of the mainstream media went after Keegan after his opinion and it seems they are trying to push an agenda. Read Shilton had the same opinion and read a title: A dinosaur defending a dinosaur”.

But what I find it funny is most of the comments after a headline like that is supporting them.

All i want is the commentary to be insightful where possible and relevant to what I am watching. Not the total stupidity which the likes of Aluko come out with. She talks utter drivel, however, I quite like Izzy Christiansen, she actually adds value to discussions.

Each to their own I suppose, but some of the new wave of commentators are abysmal.

As much as I agree with you WW, I think the media who make £Bns from football globally have become as, or even more important that the game itself.

The media create an issue from rumour, speculation or simply out of their own imaginations and the game becomes secondary to the issue created and hyped by the media.

I regularly see posts on here debating or discussing issues that in essence are nonsense but hypedand give importance bt an agenda ridden media.

I stopped reading/watching the sports news and turned off TV commentaries of City games ages ago. You don't need a commentary at the ground so why has it become necessary to have one blarting what you can see for yourselves. I have my own opinions, so why should I give the likes of Neville et al to tell me what to think.
Fuck the media
Fuck the pundits
Fuck their opinions

The thing is, John, you, as an individual are targeted by their shite.
Example: On Facebook and Twitter I am often targeted by ads/advertorials of articles/pages pro rags/scouse.

Even if you filter your newsfeeds and the places you get your info, you still get some shit like that from time to time, some opinion or an agenda.

The client media of our rivals are a key part of their teams. That's the American way - win at all costs and rake in the profit. Stop them winning and you get what City have got for 15 years - industrial scale reputational damage based on nothing but lies.

Anyone watch the Beckham series on Netflix?

Putting the obvious comments to one side, found it quite interesting so far . Got to episode 3 and he's just been transferred to Real Madrid

A proper stupid fuckin statement and he should expect to be sat on the bench at City for the foreseeable. I’m sure he won’t be upset, as long as he plays for England.
