You can't play advantage and then show him the card while play is going on. A card can only be shown when play is stopped. That's exactly what the ref done.

They're not bringing the foul back though, only the card being shown. If a player made a red card challenge but the ref played advantage so a goal could be scored would he then not get a red card if it took more than a few seconds. Nonsense.
