Can’t shake a gut feeling this will bite us back very severely

Just don’t see what the end game is that we realistically hope to achieve

The dye was already cast mate - we are using every single legal means to fight the premier league and it makes total sense - if we are found guilty we will be temporarily fucked so we might as well fight anything and everything that we can , whilst we can.

Fuck the premier league.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

We've been getting beyond bitten for years by the PL and the cartel. Clear as day its both anti-city and anti-arab. I did not see us playing this card but I'm all for it. Newcastle and Forest will back us but don't see many more allies

That’s my point really. I just don’t see us having many allies within the other 19 clubs to realistically get the outcome we want.

We could very easy alienate a lot of shakers and movers within the game as well if it goes tits up.

The shit media will spin it that big bad City are trying to get unfair advantage on the rest of the PL , and that the other teams need to circle the wagons to fight off the dirty Arab oil money and keep the PL fair and equal for everyone ,Totally ignoring that all the while they are puppets who have been played and their strings pulled by the shit cartel , As in everything thing else we will come out of this badly in the eyes of the wankers who read their red top rag bolX

You're like me and instantly worry that we are going into the unknown, however, given everything Kaldoon and the Sheikh have done since arriving has been of a level that nobody could have ever contemplated.

Fuck me, Sheikh Mansour bailed one of the biggest global banks out (Barclays) by lending serious wedge that saw him profit to the tune of £3 fucking BILLION.

That deal was brokered by Amanda Stavely who who is now in bed with the Saudi owners of Newcastle.

I don't think we are alone is this, not that I think Sheikh Mansour and Khaldoon with our top legal team have it covered already.

Looks like we are going big or going home and I don't beleive for one minute that Sheikh and Co are gamblers.

Everything has been a part of the plan for the last 16 years, I don't see this changing any time soon..... "what happens when the oil boy gets bored with his play thing".......

As someone else said, let the haters hate for now and then they can have heart attacks on the outcome.

Wish I was as bullish as you lot. I sense the end is nigh. But I say the same thing now as I said when the sheikh came in, as long as we win a few pots before it all goes tits up, it will have been worth it. We were the world champions. We conquered Europe. We dominated England. It's been a fucking hell of a ride.

The problem most of you guys have , is that you live in Broken Britain. I have not got a clue what Carl does for a living , but i can tell you all, working within several governments , is complicated. Carl knows this and i agree. If what you are doing is fair and above board you will persevere and win.

All along City has been fair with the PL and the FA

I am sure that 1) our owner will get the best advice , at what ever cost - he can afford it .
2) our owner is a very patient man, he can wait.
3) Nothing will be forgotten.

The rags, scouse and Arse cohorts will get their comeuppance. Make no mistake.

I don't think you are a million miles away with regard to the timing of this article, mate.

The words "Levy" and "nonce" spring to mind.

If we win in a court of law, it doesn't matter a white dog shit what the other 19 clubs say or think.

For this vote I believe 6 clubs voted against it and 2 abstained. 8 vs 12 sounds a lot better than 1 vs 19

What is clear is that the Competition law challenge is dry as dust and technical. It has nothing to do with the entirely separate 115 charges being brought by the Premier League against City. As for this idea suggested by the leaker of this story that’s it’s a diversion tactic it presupposes that the Premier League is unable to field expensive lawyers for both cases. The Premier League’s legal expenditure has exploded paid for by the Clubs of course. The PL brought this on themselves by throwing the kitchen sink at City. What did they expect City to do but fight back as hard as they could? They have leading KCs working for them just as City do. The difference is in the quality of the arguments the PL is bringing to their case. The suggestion of a worldwide conspiracy to hide illicit payments will be almost impossible to prove if the Commission is remotely fair to City. As to the other case I’m not an expert on competition law so I’ve no idea whether we’ll win. If the PL loses on the 115 charges Masters is finished or he certainly should be.

I think this was in the original vote a couple of years ago, Mase, as 14 votes are needed to pass any rule changes. My recollection was that at the latest vote, which we're fighting, the 14 was reached - just - with Chelsea abstaining and 4 other teams voting with us against the changes.
I bet a check of ownership of the 14 would flag up a lot of septic tanks.....

Ah okay, that makes sense.

What strikes me as weird is that, at the time, I seem to remember the clubs voting against were named, but I can't find them anywhere online. Most articles now just name us as the "likely" team threatening legal action.
