I've probably posted more in this thread than most and I've always thought it was important to keep highlighting how we have been treated since the take over. Since the new money from the council estate moved into the swanky neck of the woods.
What does amaze me is the amount of "journalists" who are allowed print what they want without knowing even the slightest thing on the subject matter.
I actually wanted to be a journalist when I was about 16. I thought it would be amazing...
The profession has been beyond a joke for some time now but what's being allowed lately when it comes to all things City in particular is a mind warp.
Why, in every other walk of life, are you allowed invest what you like in your business?
Why, in every other walk of life are you not allowed defame a company without any kind of proof, not only once, but very single day, without repercussion?

I guess in the present day, journalism has become an even bigger cesspool than it ever was. As we've moved from print media to digital, and as media outlets now generate 99% of their revenue from clicks, you just need to follow the money to see where the interests lie.
Lets start with the reality - journalists know exactly what's going on, they are too connected not to. I won't name him, but there's a senior sports reporter for one of the nationals from my home town not a million miles from Rochdale, who absolutely acknowledges what we believe to be going on, but maintains that there is no editorial freedom to tell the truth even if he and his peers wanted to. When we see him write, we call his bias out for being a rag - it's nothing to do with that, news outlets are rewarded by clicks, and there's no commercial incentive for media outlets to allow journalists to write the truth.
Their performance metric is how many links in their article are clicked - thats it, nothing more, nothing less.
No matter how true the cartel theory may be, until it's handed on a plate to them in a way that they can no longer ignore it, the media cannot risk alienating the clicking hordes of United, Arsenal and Liverpool fans. They also can't risk being banished from those clubs for not toeing their line or asking difficult questions.
The only way City get redemption here, is if the red mafia get caught with their hands in the till, in a way that is impossible for the media to ignore. At which point all the media outlets will adopt that narrative as one thus able to be critical of those clubs without risking causing their readership to change loyalty to a different outlet.
I don't understand how we've ended up with humanity so fucked up that we're happy to perpetuate lies for clicks at a national and global level, and how there's no accountability for it.
It seems CFG have had a titful of it though, and about time too.
