Not obvious anyone will come in with a bid matching City’s valuation. Atletico in for Conor Gallagher but at a much cheaper price. Chelsea looking to get the PSR benefit of selling an academy player. Ridiculous that Clubs should be incentivised to sell academy talent.

It makes no sense, but definitely works well for us the amount of kids we sell from the academy.

Wouldn’t this Couto money technically count under that rule?

But to be honest, what is he on about? Even he said he played the most games last season.

He wants to play in the 'big' games . I'd say he wants to be higher up the pecking order for the finals, semis and top 6 games instead of coming on as a sub - specially when Haaland doesn't fire

Don't like the noises he's making to be honest. Thought he was a bit better than this but he's coming across a little like billy big bollocks

He signed a new contract last year until 2028. He’s gone away with Argie and thinks he’s prime Messi. Missed sitter after sitter last season so he should probably concentrate on finding the goal rather than anything else.

Agree.
He is no Aguero, not even Tevez. He is a decent bloke, but he has big shoes to fill.

Agreed. Always people whispering in his shell like that he deserves more. When what they really want is their sharw of his rewards to increase. Grifters everywhere

He wants to play in more big games, what a really stupid comment like its a given right to be picked. If he wants to play in big games, well then newsflash! He has to be better than the others, he wasn't.
I didn't want him to go but if he comes out with any more of this shite, and we get a good fee, bye now.

Alvarez out of the Olympics with the defeat of Argentina. He won’t be back training in Manchester for 3 weeks well after the start of the season.

Don't see why he can't return to Manc. It's not like football is a full time job . They get lots of time off.

He has to be allowed three weeks holiday and he will be. I’m not pleased that the powers that be think it’s ok for him roll up at the end of August and say he wants to leave. He should make up his mind now.

I’d just sell him. Anyone that young that signed a new contract 12 months ago that “needs” to think about things  What a helmet. Just make up his mind for him. No one could know the cunt if it wasn’t for the mighty blues.

Presumably the Club want to get a decent price so they are going to bargain with Atletico. The question is whether they replace him at all or use the money to strengthen elsewhere.

Its all positioning by his agents and himself to elevate his standing. He will know now what he wants to do so i think City should tell him what his options are and fucking soet it out now. Gives us time to sell him and find a replacement or just get Oscar Bobb to take his place. Seems we've given Alvarez plenty of latitude and time off with Argentina to follow his dreams so its make your fucking mind up time. I'd ask for 95 million , accept 70 million and move on. Pep must be pissed off with the continuous questions

I can't believe he wanted to play in the Olympics. I'm not into international football but I understand the World Cup, Euros, Copa America, African Cup of Nations etc but does any proper football fan anywhere watch or care about Olympic football

Has he ever won gold at an Olympics (can't be arsed looking it up). Maybe he just wants a full set of medals to be able to say "I won everything there is"...

Yep..he is a class player and gets dissed all the time on here - I do hope he leaves and I hope he comes back to haunt us with a fuckign hatrick in the CL final.

There...I feel better now.
