Yep..he is a class player and gets dissed all the time on here - I do hope he leaves and I hope he comes back to haunt us with a fuckign hatrick in the CL final.

There...I feel better now.

It's all very tribal sometimes isn't it?

You pin your colours to the mast and stick with it, no matter what.

I thought Alvarez was class, then realised he wasn't that great when he wasn't in his preferred position, which is understandable.

Would I sell haaland instead?

You must be fucking joking.

The problem is, we're not bringing in quality players to replace the outgoings. We got helmets on here that think Nunes will come good. If we're letting him go, then replace him with star signings or unearth hidden Gems.

Supposedly PSG have trumped Atletico’s bid. Looks like he’s on his way.

There are two problems here if you ask me.
1. He wants to go after being mediocre last season. Clearly his mind was turned, so, I would let him go.
2. I have big doubts we are going to replace him. We are not going after Musiala and I am worried Pep thinks we might be ok without having a class option to replace him.

Odd summer for us. Not to call it wank.

He might yet. He might not. I've been wrong about players before and I'm sure I will be again. Let's see

But I've never been stupid enough to say what you said.

"Alvarez haters will be squirming", after he scored for us?

Honestly, what the actual fuck was that all about? Who was it aimed at, on a City forum??

I’m glad they’ve thrown a bid in, too. We shouldn’t be doing Atletico any favours after their childish nonsense the other year.

And there's the meltdown that was clearly bubbling under the surface. Piss boiling so much you lost the ability to quote properly

You're certainly a strange lad. Talking about keyboard warriors and challenging for a fight in the same breath... that's pretty impressive

I've obviously struck a nerve and I'll stop playing with you for now.

Oh dear, gimpy is upset now. I haven't challenged you to fight, you're not a challenge, it's embarrasing to call fighting Mr Bean a challenge. Its like smacking uncle Fester, just feels wrong. Just wanted to let you know, in the real world, you wouldnt have the balls abd be that brave behind a screen. We all know, gimps like yourself, will twist it around to some kind of threat. Like I said, I know your type. Now get back to grooming your potatoes.

Jesus can't someone have a different opinion without the thread descending to a mental age of five. It's not like it's a matchday thread FFS.

Getting back to Alvarez, he's a better and more polished player than Oscar Bobb at the moment but i think Bobb's tour of the USA has perhaps put him in contention. Pep won't be too concerned to let him go if pushed into it

He should be fucking concerned if we let him go as who fills in Haaland’s position when his fantastic diet and training regime doesn’t work and he injures himself again for weeks on end ?

Who is Alvarez’s replacement ?

By the way - OB is a class apart , only negative for me is he is slow and needs to improve on that , but he is an incredible player that is worthy of being in the first 11 , based on what I’ve seen of him lately .

Can't remember when I joined, but I think there was some sort of restart later, which is the date on my profile. But back in the day, when we were shocking and had so much to argue about, it was brutal, and busy, on here.

Carl does his best to maintain old times, but he's fighting the battle mostly alone :D

I'm coming to suspect that Alvarez is a bit of a pain in the dressing room. I have sympathy for him, but in that position you have to do the business when the chance comes. Second half of the season he wasn't and missed a few he should easily score, not least in the cup final

You could argue he wasn't getting enough practice. Or you might not
