Absolutely this, 19 goals, 8 assists. 4th leading scorer in the league, level with Watkins, ahead of Salah.

That’s not true, according to the player himself.

April this year -

I played more this season – the first year I had to be more patient – I’ve played in different positions – as a nine or a 10. But I’m happy to be playing a lot more.

I can adapt to both nine or 10 but I’d say I prefer playing as a nine. Players here need to be able to adapt to what the manager says – sometimes It can be a bit confusing changing a lot. But you have to adapt."

Signed a new contract last year, prefers playing behind the striker - he had his head turned by money. It’s okay to admit that, as fans we can’t just make excuses and make up VISA issues, game time, position issues when it’s all in black and white.

Hes moved for money and that’s okay.

Its one of those deals that makes sense for everyone - we've made a good business deal, he's got a bit more money and won't be playing in Haaland's shadow any more and in terms of our team I think it naturally allows some younger players the chance to progress - particualrly Bobb.

9 is centre forward? So those quotes prove me point imo. Anyway he's gone so let's buy a striker so haaland can't be even more lazy than he is at times..

He's ex-red shite banging the anti-City drum for current red shite, to generate more clicks for his current paymasters. That's how.

Don't worry he was on during the half time break, you know like those rappers do in the Superbowl half time half hour.

4 mins extra time , Alvarez scores in the 95th minute with a tap in after the ball deflects off the goalie. Got lucky there J, i thought you were doing Lord Lucan impressions up there , after you came on as sub.

Damn. Wanted him to get to 10 games zero goals. Does that 1 goal mean we get an extra couple of mill? Surely he’s hit his goals now to trigger it?

For Athletico specifically, he’s got 1 goal in 6 games.

I was sorry to see him go. Ultimately, he didn't want to play second fiddle to Haaland and we are always going to be faced with this whilst we have Haaland - unless we have a 'striker' whose willing to play and perform from the wings it wasn't Alvarez. Madrid is a bettwr cultural fit personally, but going to Simeome's team was and is proving to be a challenge as they are not the most attack minded. As has been said, a deal that suited all parties and we did best from it

Seen earlier we are sniffing round some Japanese guy at Celtic, I know it's 2nd rate up there but his stats looked impressive, 1 in 2 goals to games.

Maybe he wouldn't mind playing second fiddle in the prem and get some proper silverware to his name.

That's what we'd be looking at with Haaland isn't it and I don't see many who'd be up for it - despite the pull of it being us and working with Pep. Pep's not going to go 4-4-2 so any striker is almost akin to 2nd keeper there for cup games but lesser in chumps league. We are going to have to go false 9 if anything happens this side of January - we'd cope but it's not ideal
