I didnt think we played too badly. Inter were exceptionally well disciplined and organised very hard to breakdown especially so early in the season. They were by far best we have seen doing that low block at the ehtiad in a long time. I just hope we dont meet them again in the latter stages.
As for Jack man of the match, nonsense, Rodri and Josko much better.

Thought Rodri started poorly but was far more like his old self 2nd half.
Gvardiol MOTM for me with notable shout outs for Jack, Rico and Eddie.

Inter will give any top team a really tough game in this comp I reckon.

We weren't at our absolute best but no one takes points off us when we are.

The ref was leaning towards them in every decision which was a pity.

Still unbeaten this season. Hopefully a big win on Sunday and the viking gets the goal to sort the record

Inter were well organised and solid in defence .
We should have taken our chances though and we should be disappointed with a draw - when was the last time we had a 0-0 at home ? Cant remember .

Arsenal in the league last season.
And prior to that it was probably at least 3 years if not longer

I have my doubts about this new league stage of the competition.

I mean, we'll hammer most of the teams, making last night's result irrelevant and possibly go into an away match against psg playing with our B team.

Unless I'm missing something?

Haven't looked after this revised league format but imagine that we will be in the top half of the 16(?) and get an away draw in the knock- out so getting back to what we were used to. Nonsense of a new format with the idea that it brings 2 'top' sides together for 'entertainment'. It's a bit dull for me - the only bright points are the chance to get to some other places we haven't been

What is the format, the top 8 qualify automatically, the next 16 play in a play off to see who is the next 8, then they play the top 8 in the last 16?
Is that it?

Just looked it up:

Top 8 qualify automatically teams placed 9-24 play 2 legged to join them in last 16

No one drops in the Europa League. So difficult times for the rags ahead if they manage to get into this comp.

Almost correct - the top 2 of the top 8 of the last sixteen then do paper, rock, scissors to see who the last team is to qualify for the knock out stages.
When everything becomes less ridiculous

It’s a stat that is very much in keeping with Grealish’s Champions League performances and since the start of the 2022/23 campaign no-one has created more chances in Europe’s elite competition than the 55 produced by the City winger.

I am surprised UEFA haven't introduced about 5 rounds of play offs for more money!

some grim stuff tonight - that missed penalty was horrific. - worst part is the TNT commentary & punditry. Brain damage on co comms with toe curling drivel on the GOALS channel and on the pitch with Jules, Wio & the missing link.
