Let's say it happens, what do you think?

I am on the fence with this one.
1. I think when you are paid that shit load of money to do what you love, have a shit load of commercial deals and state of the art conditions, stop moaning.
2. I despise UEFA/FIFA and money grabbing federations that care fuck all about fans/footballers. It is all about money to them, so I would love to be the spotlight on the cunts.

Never happen. As Mase says they like their wages too much. And a strike would almost certainly without exception be a breach of contract which presumably would mean a forfeiture of salary.

I do see the argument of playing too many games. But only at the top echelons of the sport. I could play football twice a week. I’d be fucking useless, but I could still turn out for the games. But at our level you have to be at your best game in game out and that’s where playing every game takes its toll.

I personally think we as a club manage players minutes better than most if not all the other PL clubs. It is not coincidence we always end the season stronger than our rivals as we’ve managed minutes better.

What might happen is muscular injuries become more frequent which will naturally result in rest periods.

This is the main point. These extra games are added to keep the elite clubs relevant and making money but most of them don't have the quality to be playing at that level so the level drops and then even a game such as ours the other night becomes a "Let's not lose game" rather than a "Must win game". Inter were praised for their defensive display the other night but it was 11 behind the ball and hit fast on the break, it's small team mentality. The quality should be getting concentrated to produce fewer, better games rather than being diluted and having 100 games of pisswater a season.

Problem is three different organisations and none of them talk to each other. FIFA, UEFA, Prem they want as much money as they can make so they’re arranging games left and right.

Id imagine all players contracts have clauses in it, to protect the clubs from players refusing to play.
Players think they are treated like cattle, which is a fucking insult to the common folk out there, who are working like dogs to earn a living.

Clubs have a squad of x amount of players to cope with all the games so they will just have to bench a 1st class player for a 2nd class player in certain matches.....its the same for all the clubs playing in those competitions.

Priority is the Premier league , then the CL , then the FA cup.......Id stick in the under 12s for the ,Micky mouse League vup ( or whatever its called now ).

I personally love the number of games we get. Clubs just need to evolve and make better use of rotation. Pep is a master of it luckily for us but not all teams are and run their best 11 into the ground.

I agree with the quality being diluted but I assume over time that will improve as clubs get better at using their 25 man squads to their full potential to mange the 60-70 games a season.

It’s time to completely rethink international football and either do it properly with nations compensating players and teams or just recognise that the best teams in the world are not made from individual nations.

Players definitely get paid for international games. This can come in the form of bonuses for each competition depending on how many games they do and how well the team does. Agents ask for higher wages the minute that players get capped and there will often be incremental rises or bonuses in the contracts depending on how many caps they have. If players get injured on international duty then the relevant FA's have to compensate the clubs for the loss of the players.

I thought all footballers donated their international money to charity?

I think they donate their match fees to charity. Sure I read somewhere once that it was somewhere in the region of £1500-2000 per match. But that was a while ago and it could be higher now

But AB has it spot on when talking about players earning potential at their respective clubs. Once you are a full International your earning potential is greatly increased and of course you will be in higher demand should you wish to move
