Are there not any forwards at the other end of their career who would be happy getting 20 mins a game when Erling needs a rest? Basically the striker equivalent of Scott Carson who wouldn't want to high wages ?

This is another option - probably a smaller talent pool but one worth exploring - probably have to look to the continent as they'd still need to have the technique to play in our team
