These are some shady fuckers. The failure of some investors sounds like a play on we budgetted for the money coming in but it wasn't real and it didn't materialise. I hope these cunts go to the wall but I suspect we will still do them favours whenever we can

I thought this sort of thing led to a FIFA ban if followed up? So City must indeed be being somewhat charitable.

The only upside is that it will show on our accounts and we don't really need the cash right now

And maybe a good bargaining chip when it comes to little Spanish kids who are good at football

Or getting Gundo back on a free when he’s still got a contract, I guess.

Barcelona still owe over €100m in unpaid transfer fees, Leeds United and Manchester City most affected https://www.football-espana.net/2024/10 ... t-affected

Can we tell Wolves we can’t pay for Nunes and then just hope they forget?

I suspect the terms of payment haven't been breeched. And what they owe is within the time frame for the repayments. Maybe we allowed them to pay over the length of his contract and for this privilege we upped his price a bit. Close to £60M for him was great business after all

Yep, that’s the point. Agreeing to terms over 500 years cause they’re your mates isn’t on. Especially when it’s for a club that has dug us out often.

Or we could return the damaged goods?

But maybe we got an extra £5-10M because we allowed the payment over a longer term.

Like car insurance is always more expensive to pay monthly rather then a one off payment

"Who is paying for Barcelona's new stadium?

In June 2026, the grace period for the 1.5 billion euros borrowed from 20 national and international investors, including Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, JLL, Pérez-Llorca, DLA Piper, Key Capital Partners, Legends, and IPG 360, will come to an end."

Anytime you ever see Goldman Sachs in anything to do with investments or funding, you know it's questionable.

No, no, no...they can't be. They're planning on buying Haaland in the summer - must be true cos I read it in a rag-top.

Payment plan for Torres explained. It's like a Kays or Grattan service for broke clubs:

Getting €65m for him was madness.

It’s a taste of what Leeds fans must think when we bought Phillips for £43m
