Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I love this sort of "reporting" (I use the term in the loosest possible way!). It shows me we are still in their heads, despite the PL's overwhelming victory (

) in the tribunal ruling. And gives us something to batter them with when we prove them wrong (again). Keep them coming, you wankers!

Viana’s time at Newcastle as a player has zero to do with how he’ll perform as Director of Football at City.

https://www.mancity.com/news/mens/man-c ... t-63864262The Club aren’t mucking around. Here’s the statement about Txiki. Viana will be coming a few months before the end of the season to familiarise himself with the Club before taking over at the end of the season.

Manchester City can confirm that Txiki Begiristain will step away from his full-time role as Director of Football at the end of the 2024/25 season.
Makes me think Txiki will still be around, just not full time.

Terrible timing.
But Viana and their coach turned Sporting around, won two titles out of four, if I recall.

It is quite normal in organisations for younger people to take over. As you think, it might be that there is another important role for Txiki in the global org. Like taking on the idiots at UEFA / FIFA. Let's see what happens. The Club, the Stadium the surroundings are being beautifully set up for success. I can't wait to see the finished product next season with the hotel, covered meeting/social areas and the stadium extension completed. Will be the envy of the Rags even with their spectacular Waterfall attraction.
