Pep rules out Ake and Kevin for tomorrow. Says they might conceivably travel but didn’t seem confident about it. A doubt too about Ederson and Savinho just back from international duty and Akanji. He’ll assess tomorrow.

Any player that comes back too late from internationals to be considered for our games shouldn’t play for a good while.

They played on Wednesday so would have returned yesterday at the earliest. I think Pep was being cautious. Wanted to assess them tomorrow. No training today apparently. Hopefully both will be fit to play against Wolves. I don’t know what the doubt is with Akanji but it didn’t sound serious. He said there was no set back with Kevin or Nathan just that they weren’t ready to start.

Pep refused to discuss whether he was approached about the England job. If he was he obviously didn’t give them any encouragement. He also said he hadn’t made a decision about his future. He did say international management interested him. Brazil post the World Cup is obviously one possibility. Ditto the US? He likes travelling there certainly. He’ll surely never manage Spain given his pride in being a Catalan. I’d guess one more year at City but the end approaches.

Good example of the old red mist there. Two stamps, a slap and a backwards body check = red card

Stupid of Kudus. He’s their best player and now he’s out for three games. They’d lost the match anyway.
