Back from the game, at 1-0 your always going to be aware of the sucker punch.
Saying that we should have brought in players in the window but who knows we might at Christmas

Kova MOTM by a mile for me. Loads of saving tackles, involved in everything, always looking for the forward pass. He was brilliant.
The Brazilian wizard was excellent again and I don't get the Akanji negativity by some- he played really well along with Gvardiol and Rico.

Midfield better without gundo even though we weren't great.

Didn't see savinho being great but I'm on the other side so didn't see much of him. Nunes plated well

A win and a clean sheet and another crazy Haaland goal are my main positives.

That said, watching us this season in general is the least enjoyable it’s been in years. We’ve less cutting edge than ever before and are leakier at the back than ever. We go side to side for hours to create a few chances, very few really gilt edge, yet the team with no ball manage to create a couple of glorious ones out of nothing. Frustrating.
Tracking back is overrated.

Honestly never appreciated how much work he does. Sat so close to the pitch yesterday made me realise. Even the Mrs said “number 8 had a good game”.

A shame he’s not a bit younger.

I feel like Pep realises the season is going to be longer this time, so against these teams he doesn’t want us going 100%

Can’t really blame him, it’s going to be a long ol’ season and if we can avoid more injuries than we’ve already got the better.

I wouldn’t be upset if we get knocked out the Carling Cup or whatever it’s called

it really is a shame that Oscar Bobb got injured , i reckon he would be really great in these 11 players in the box defensive games by the opposition. Shame that the poor fella got injured.

Top of the league, we are not actually missing Rodri at the moment. Other players have stepped up and Kova is doing alright in midfield. Not as pretty as Rodri, but just as effective.

Still top - very early of course but I still can't decide if a draw was the best result for us - Father Reuben reckons it was.

I didn’t see any ShowSec at the game on Saturday. Have City finally binned them off?

I did read somewhere that his recovery is going much faster than expected. Can't remember where though.

Players not happy that they’re being efficient enough with set pieces says Akanji. Meeting took place to discuss this.

Can't argue with that.
