Off thread but this is a De Bruyne like pass from Wirtz. Threads a needle. There’ll be a huge queue for his transfer. Hope Kevin plays a full part today.

Gundog and Kovacic midfield……sigh, a disaster is waiting. If we win today it will be a miracle, and I haven’t said that for a very long time.

Plus, as kdb often shows, those that don't quite get through the eye lead to an opposition break. Which nowadays means an automatic goal!

Hope not. But then Lewis as CB is no better. Surely Gvardiol partners Simpson-Pusey with Lewis LB?

Why KDB on the bench?

As club captain he should lead by example and demand to play

Crikey. Talk about a scratch CB partnership. Ake not fit to start but I thought Gvardiol might start at CB.

Akanji on the bench too. Doku not even in the squad. It looks like a scratch side. I’m not confident I must say.

Yer mate keeps getting chances Mase, but again last time out was entirely anonymous. So as yet yes, he could!

McAtee was played as a false nine against Spurs with nobody backing him up. Not fair to be judged on that performance. He was far from the worst player in that team. Give him a chance in midfield.
