It was 8.5 million and I think related to the period when he wasn’t in prison.

At the end of the day he was found not guilty and City had the obligation to pay him .
No idea why they didn’t as they were never going to get away with not paying him .
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

As far as I can remember he was banned by the FA and couldn't attend training or play. Maybe the club did the smart thing by not paying him and can now claim against the FA that it was them banning him from training that left him unable to fulfill his contract.

The Judge ruled that when he was in custody and couldn’t play it was his fault for breach of bail conditions. However, once released from custody he was prevented from training and playing because of an FA suspension and bail conditions. Interesting to see whether City appeal this ruling.

Agreed. We could have sorted this quickly with Mendy avoiding any drama!

I stand corrected, I just took 2 press reports of £11.5 million and £11 million ( majority of) to be fairly accurate. Thanks for pointing out that you think it was only £8million.

Quite a bit of noise on Twitter about Zubimendi signing for us in January -:
Midfielder Martin Zubimendi and his team are open to a move in January if the right opportunity presents itself. Previously rejected Liverpool, he is extremely close to Rodri...

He came on for Rodri in the Euro's final. Looked really good.

He's a poor man's Rodders but they all are. We don't have a solution in the squad. Get him in or equivalent and I don't see any bettwr alternatives. It's a risk worth taking wirhout which we will not win the league never mind chumps and I'm ok with that if it goes against a summer rebuild

A shame we didn’t stick with Lavia instead of buying Phillips.

Yes the Lavia decision looks a bad one. Ederson of Atalanta would be a very good option as a defensive midfielder. 25 6 foot and a very good tackler. Covers the ground. Not sure what would happen next season when Rodri’s back though.

I think some games Rodri would be good moved a bit further forward IF we did find someone that could do his role. He’s got some shot on him!!

Rodri could play further forward. I still think we need a replacement for Kevin next season. An athletic inspired passer. Hard to find.

We also need others to chip in more with goals. Can’t just rely on Haaland. Doku Grealish Savinho I’m talking about you plus midfielders getting into the box late.

Last season Foden was on fire which helped massively whilst Haaland was injured. Like you say, we need other players to chip in. Our next top scorer after Haaland is Kova, isn’t it?

Kova joint with Gvardiol. Like you say Foden scored about 20 last season which was fantastic. It's people like Gundo and Silva who need to contribute as well.
