To be honest it wouldn’t be a disaster if we failed to qualify for the last 16. The injury ravaged squad isn’t remotely strong enough to beat one of the top European teams at the moment anyway. The real disaster would be failing to make the top 4 in the PL this season. I think most of the problem is caused by crippling defensive injuries plus losing both Rodri and Kovacic at the same time. Txiki and Pep deserve criticism for persisting with the same small squad strategy and hanging on to Walker when he wanted to go. This season we are playing the same exhausted players too much and bringing back injured players too quickly. The results even more injuries. A vicious circle.
