In terms of England's best RB
Armfield
COHEN
Newton
STEVENS
Anderson
Palmer
NEVILLE
Carragher
All were better.
My favourite of all time after Zabba was Tommy Smith. He was too much of a hard man for Ramsey to pick for England but he was a great footballer. Saw him live a few times for Liverpool, Walker would have shit himself in his presence.

Will you stop with this nonsense. Carragher better than Walker at right back? Give ur head a wobble and stop talking shite

And Smith, great at threatening players, like keane , but an average defender.

You probably never saw him play live or even on TV . Tommy Smith was a great defender but then i think you rate Akanji so i'd say your judgement is off.

Carragher better than Walker is not a bad shout. Carragher was far more consistent at his job. I'd have swapped him for Walker without hesitation despite his spitting antics

Carragher was an average centre back.

I'm all for giving fair criticism to Walker for his performances this season, fucking us about wanting to leave and his car crash of a personal life.

But let's not rewrite history. He was class for us and an important part of our most successful ever team.

Once the dust settles and we can move away from thinking about this terrible season I'm sure the majority of fans will come to appreciate his time at the club and think of him favourably.

The best left wingers in the world hated coming up against him, remember the roasting we took down that side getting knocked out of the champions league by Madrid when he was unavailable.

He has had Mbappe in his pocket every single time he's played against him for both club and country.

What is the shite part, all or some or just the players that were great for liverpool or Utd , or is it you never saw them play? I saw all of the abover except for Arnfield, i only knew him as a Manager and pundit but my dad said he was a great player. My point is that when someone talks of Walkers attributes, he wasn't even close to being the best England full back but he might have been the quickest. His pace helped us maintain such a highline and provided cover.

The last line shows then for 6/7 years he was integral to how we set up and played and therefore the success we’ve achieved and enjoyed over this time. A winning team should be greater than the sum of its parts IMO

Yes there are probably better defensive brains out there as we know Kyle isn’t blessed there. But what he brought to the team was bigger than that.

His influence since he’s been here will be tough to replicate

Kyle has been a winner for us. His levels v PSG and Madrid are to be applauded. He’s won the lot. Off the pitch well that’s just soap opera stuff and I hope he can avoid becoming front page after he hangs up his boots. It’s the right time, goodbye and good luck!

Don't talk rubbish, i was in with 35 000 scousers at wolves when they won the league. smith played john richards in and he hit the post. wolves were going down anyway and the scousers were ripping into pointy finger Smith ."Hey you Smith , get back to the pub selling cockles" .Just about sums them up and Smith.Scouse needed to win, last game of the season

This having Mbappe in his pocket myth….

We played them in the semi finals 2020/21 - Mbappe played the first leg and was injured for the second. The first leg that Mbappe played in, he played upfront with Di Maria and Neymar on the wings - Mbappe was dealt with by Stones and Dias.

We played PSG in 2021/22 in the group stages. We won 2-1 but Mbappe scored for them. The away leg we lost 2-0…

They were the only games against PSG before going back to before Walker joined us.

Looks like Walker has only faced Mbappe for England once, France won 2-1

It’s nice to want to believe things, but Google is available to anyone.

Wolves needed to win, Scousers just needed to draw. A nervy game for scousers but they got the job done. Just because you hear a nervous scouser giving him some stick ? It's a matter of record what a great player for Liverpool Smith was - probably one of their most influential players ever. A great intimidator, hard as nails, a leader and reliable - and his football ability is often overlooked.

And both were excellent footballers. In the same mould that Souness and Case were hard but great footballers.
I'll freely admit to never really liking Walker. Something about him just doesn't sit right with me never has.
Strange how you can dislike players from the off

It should not have got to this! Walker should have been told by the club in the summer your time is up.

I never liked him since that tweet when he was at Spurs and mostly because he has the brain of a lamp and no values as a human being.

I will always thank him for the good times here, but I think the club gave him more than enough.

Hope when he goes he will not act like a cunt and show class.

He’s still got a year and a half on his contract so should get something.

But Gundo had another two years and we got him for free.
