Gundo and Bernie should never be on the pitch at the same time, Grealish should have come on as sub if he felt that Kovacic should come off, fuck knows why, we were largely controlling the game most of the second half, Foden had his tail up…at last, and the cunt took him off too. Sav should have come off, he was knackered. That was absolutely piss poor game management, something we have been very very good at for a very very long time. I’m seething and don’t get me started on the Haaland miss it was shit. His hold up play was actually very good today but his body language sums up City this season. Wake up you bunch of obscenely overpaid coasters, put some effort in for the people that pay you…..cunts !!!

Pep talking absolute gobbledygook in the post match presser. Just like his thinking during the match.

At 2 nil I stopped watching and went out to do some gardening. I had a bad feeling that things will go south as no subs had appeared at that stage. We needed another defender at that stage and Rico or O’Reilly should have come on for Bernie. Mac should have come on much earlier and Gundo should not have been anywhere near the pitch. We are allowed 5 subs so why didn’t Grealish and/or Doku come on to provide fresh legs and give the Brentford defence something new to deal with ?? For the life of me, I cannot understand what Pep was thinking with his subs (or lack there of) ??

The most annoying thing was the sheer lack of effort to stop the cross for both brentford goals.
Just standing off and letting them have all the time they want to make the cross.

Why was Gundogan brought on. Totally finished as a footballer, Pep might as well came on himself.

The good news is Kevin, Ake and Savinho played well. Foden after being anonymous in the first half, decided to play a bit in the second.

We've a really tough period coming up, and it ain't gonna be pretty.

I do not mind playing Gundog. What I mind is playing him as a dmc when everyone can see his legs are gone. Yesterday he came and took the role of Kovacic. Why?
Is he taking the piss out of him and he wants to humiliate him because Mr Whippy said our tactics are shit? Something happened between them?

Sorry Nick he did say that about Foden in the post match Press Conference. Phil said he thought the players looked ‘leggy’ in the last 20 and Pep grinned and said Thats why I replaced him.

After they got their 1st we were managing the game quite well. A minute or so to go, the 5 minute stoppage put up and we were keeping the ball well and playing out time. McAtee took the shot which he didn't need to do, they go forward from that, nobody blocks the cross and i still can't work out how Ortega let the header past him. Shocking goalkeeping.
Can anyone remember the last good game Silva has had. Terrible last night again. Offers absolutely nothing going forward and he's started giving it away which he never used to do.Kev's legs may be going but his passing is a joy. Hopefully that 1st goal will revitalise Phil as he was as bad as Silva 1st half but a different player 2nd.
Ederson for Ortega, McAtee for Silva on Sunday.

Really sickening to throw away a lead like that particularly given the other results tonight, was chance get level with Chelsea for 4th spot. Forest drop points.

Akanji really should only be playing full back when we get Dias fit and these new lads in. Too weak in air and switches off. His performance on both goals shocking for an international centre half. Ake been playing not fully fit and is only thing holding the defence together

Id have probably hooked haaland and put savio up top to scare them on the break because at 2-0 haaland was useless. Get grealish on the left to protect that side and shut the game down. We were very lucky not to lose.

How many time have we seen this game. Shocking use of subs, terrible game management, awful choice of defensive midfield. You cut & paste this for nearly every game. FFS we nearly went to pieces when West Ham scored to make it 4-1 last week. Leicester should have scored at least two. The defence is shocking & not PL level. Ake apart we didn’t have a decent defender last night. WTAF is going on a City? The only reason we still have a chance of top four is because the others have been equally useless. This devastating demise is down to management & the lack of any succession planning. Players like Stones & Walker should have been fucked off, these guys are being payed a fortune for doing fuck all. It has not just happened that Stones is never fit, at least 2/3 years of it. It has got to the stage where we have no idea who will make themselves available to play.
It is a complete clusterfuck, young promising players allowed to leave & players like Gundog who is clearly past it returns & plays nearly every game, Pep seem averse to giving youngsters a chance, it was posted pre game McAtee wouldn’t get on until 87th minute. It wouldn’t seem so bad if we thought Pep would change but he won’t, the players who have won us all the trophies have been allowed to grow past it without being gradually replaced. New signings? atm not confident the correct replacements will be found, but we have to live in hope don’t we.

Pep did say that about Phil. Full stop. If you can be bothered to listen to his only press conference on the above link you’ll hear him. It was early on in response to a question.

Just seen what Pep did to Ortega on the pitch at the end.
Embarrasing. As many mentioned, he is a game away from a proper meltdown.

Sad scenes to see.

It’s so weird. HE was the one that chose to play Ortega. Fair enough if he should have saved the goal or his distribution was shite - tell him in the changing rooms?

That was way OTT in my opinion

If I was a player and he did that to me in public Id lamp him one.
