The olds days eh ? no inflation, value for money, when one in Kate Bush was worth two in the hand.

Possibly misheard.

We need to look at this on its own merits. An excellent signing of one of the top talents in the Bundesliga. No he wont make up for our weaknesses in midfield ( although he'll provide extra energy to press up top) but he’s a top signing. A week or so to sign someone who can strengthen our midfield. Let’s see.

To be fair our issues seemed to start in the first half of games, when nobody could hit a cow's arse with a banjo. Then the other team wins second half.

I think we still have the 2nd highest number of shots

So he might cure that bit!?

You think we go back to the Keegan days of “you score 4 we’ll score 5!”

I’m up for that. Anything is better than the crap we’re made to watch now

Seems like a good player. Hoping he buck’s the trend of forwards leaving Frankfurt for big money and flopping

Kolo Muani £81m to PSG
Luca Jovic £51m to Madrid
Seb Haller £45m to West Ham

Let’s see how he fits into our team and system

We need cover for haaland and someone who can play in a variety of positions so he ticks that box.

That said, this fella screams west ham or something. Frankfurt only got him at the start of last season on a free as before that he had done nothing. Huge outlay on a guy whos riding a purple patch in the German league.

We really needed full backs or defensive midfielders more than we need what we have bought.
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Omar speaks very, very good English. This will be of great benefit on the pitch and in the squad.

Watched the game on romanian television and the commentators mentioned he had a fantastic record. All of his previous three freekicks were goals.

The last one who had that was the dutch, Van Hooijdonk.

Impressed. Good player. Premier defences probably more clued up on offside though

It’s probably because he actually got through balls played to him at his old club. Needs to get used to our sideways, back, sideways passing so he can time his runs (or not).

It was his first game with no training with Pep so he played his natural game which looks really good. A few weeks with Pep and he'll be singing off the same hymn sheet as Grealish. Make the most of it while you can.

There's a suggestion Pep may have learned we need to play long balls through to the striker(s).

However not every team will be suicidally high

Yes Chelsea were very high. Well see how good he is when we face the low block parking the bus stuff.
