***PSG v Champions CL Official Match Thread***

Postby nottsblue » Wed Jan 22, 2025 7:01 am

Two games left in CL group stage and we probably need to win both which isn't ideal. Though PSG aren't the side they were, it's still away so will be a tough nut to crack. But we will have lots of confidence after the weekend and we seemed to have turned a corner just lately.

Viking is due a goal or two in the CL as well. Think we will do well tonight

2-0 Haaland and Foden

Ake now in the Stones club. But what is wrong with Doku? he had a great game Sunday.

He did.

Well at least him being out means he won't get his customary slagging in the match thread.

Doku must have got an injury in training or maybe hes got flu. Savinho will clearly play tonight. Two dilemmas. Who plays right back? Nunes Rico or maybe Akanji ( but that would mean risking Stones at CB who would step into midfield. Risky since hes just back from injury). Second Gundogan or Bernardo in the double pivot with Kovacic.

Can't see anything but a PSG win tonight. We are going out of the CL in a vain glorious whimper.

Is Pep doing this on purpose with Nunes? We’ve seen it before, where he forces a player in just to prove how shite they are so the club put their hands in their pockets. Is this to show we need to lad from Juve?!

Can’t think of any other reason.

Not suprised about bernard starting he was rested for this game. But thought Lewis would start, I think pep likes nunes to get forward allowing Phil to operate more centrally.

I’m happy if we go out of this, no way we’re winning it. Madrid, Liverpool? No chance of beating them this season. We cannot handle extra games. Top 4 is the priority. If that’s looking good, an FA Cup would be amazing!

Also looks like Pep’s happy to go out as well.
