I dont believe this will happen, is a hand gesture worse than shouting "fuckoff you fucking wanker" in his face ala Rooney in every match
Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard could find himself in trouble with the Football Association after he appeared to flash a V-sign at referee Andre Marriner during his side's 1-0 defeat at Wigan.
Gerrard was booked in the 81st minute of the clash at the DW Stadium following a robust challenge from behind on James McCarthy, and replays of the incident suggested he had gestured towards Marriner as well as mouthing an obscenity at the official.
Marriner did not notice the gesture but the FA might decide that Gerrard, who captained England in their 3-1 friendly victory over Egypt last week, has a case to answer.
Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez, speaking after the Wigan game, insisted he had not seen the incident.
"I don't know, I was too far away," said the Spaniard.

You forget WW that FA rules are different for Scum.
Rooney can also kick out at people and it is forgotten, whereas SWP gets a 3 match ban for a little flick after being poleaxed.
I think they'll have Gerard!
And btw how shite was he last night? Forget any future signing for City.

He's been shit all season. Starting to think his best years are behind him and those injuries early in his career haven taken their toll.

He will just argue that he is saying that something similar has happened to him twice and it will all be dropped.

I dont think he can caution him again immediately, there is some yellow card rule about giving the player thinking time after an initial card before issuing another.

I got booked for calling the referee a 'mafkees' (loosely translates to fool) on Sunday. Couldn't believe it!
Usually you can away with a lot more than that but this guy was a bit of a nutter

I know they get a bollcking and a fine for 7 bookings, but can the club not face sanctions if their disciplinary record is disproportionately bad over a short period of time - it seems some of their players are out of control especially away from home and when not winning.
They are 4th bottom of the disciplinary table (pleasantly surprised we are 3rd) aided massively by what appeared to be tactics of stark violence in their recent away games, particularly if they aren't winning. They were mid table until last month which shows something has changed.
Is it just desperation or are they genuinely setting out to be cynical?
My old feller used to take me to Liverpool as a kid so always had a soft spot for them, but i;m really growing to fucking hate them, particularly Gerrard who is turning into a diving cheating version of Gary Neville mk with his antics recently

No case to answer according to the Mirror. He was giving himself the v's in frustration apparently (as ya do), not aiming them at the ref. Ref reported he saw nothing untoward. Laughable.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.
